Welcome!
Detroit Popcorn Company rents more concession equipment than
anyone in Michigan. And there are several good reasons why we
are able to make that claim.
We cater to the needs of our customers. If you need a sno-kone
machine for a backyard birthday party, or an antique-style popcorn
cart to handle the crowds at a trade show, we’ve got them. And we
have all of the supplies you could possibly need to make renting our
equipment a convenient andworthwhile venture.
We rent equipment to many different people for many different
reasons. Schools and churches often rent our equipment and turn
food into money with fund raisers. Caterers rent our equipment to
add that extra touch to large, elaborate gatherings. Automobile
dealers rent our equipment for their tent sales. And your neighbor
rents our equipment for the kids’ birthday parties.
So you see, everybody has a reason at one time or another to rent
equipment from Detroit Popcorn Company. And we strive to have
something to fit the needs ofeverybody.
We have added several new items to rent, and we have added
Roxy’s Sweets, a catering division designed to offer you friendly,
full-service catering for your event. We also carry some equipment

are constantly adding new items. If you don’t see something listed
here, please ask. Chances are, we probably have it, or we can
direct you to someone that does.

A two week notice is required in order to guarantee availability of
any rental equipment.
!
All equipment can be delivered, but delivery is not included. The
charge for this service is $40.00 for delivery and $40.00 for
pickup in the tri-county area. Delivery charge may be higher for
some locations.

Our policy requires that a letter of responsibility on company,
club, church, or school letterhead is submitted with all rental
reservations, along with a $100.00 refundable security deposit.
Individuals wishing to rent equipment are required to submit a
$300.00 security deposit in the form of a check or credit card
imprint, along with a current, valid driver’s license or state
identification card.

All rentals are to be prepaid, or C.O.D. unless a charge account
has been previously established. Open account customers in
good standing may submit a signed purchase order in lieu of a
security deposit.
!
Most of the equipment we rent requires training prior to its use.
We suggest that the person(s) designated to run the equipment
get a lesson in operation from us prior to the date of the event.
We will not be responsible for machines that do not work
properly if no lesson was given prior to use.
!
Equipment operators and servers for all of our items through our
catering division, Roxy’s Treats. See pages 26 and 27 for more
information.

All of our equipment is NSF listed and UL approved for safety,
however, most of it is designed for indoor use. Please ask if you
are unsure of how the equipment may be used outdoors.

Our rental equipment is tested for safety and reliability on a
regular basis. As with all equipment, however, there is a risk that
if it is not used properly, injury could result. Detroit Popcorn
Company assumes no responsibility for injury resulting from the
misuse of a machine. Insurance and health department permits,
if required for your particular event, should be provided by you.

You will be responsible for the equipment from the time the
equipment is picked up to the time it is returned. Please make
sure the equipment is secured when not in use and protected
from the weather. You will be charged for any damaged or
missing items.
!
CANCELLATIONS: Due to the high demand for equipment, it is
necessary for us to have reservations guaranteed in advance in
the form of a security deposit. Deposits must be presented at
least one week prior to the rental date. Cancellations made at
least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the rental date will not be
penalized. Cancellations made at least 48 hours (2 days) prior
to the rental date will be charged 25% of the total equipment
rental cost for one day. Cancellations made at least 24 hours (1
day) prior to the rental date will be charged 50% of the total
equipment rental cost for one day. Rental reservations not
canceled prior to the rental date will be charged one full day’s
rental cost for all equipment reserved.
