Galvi-Linda Ltd is a large-scale manufacturer of goods made from leather, textile and synthetic materials. Our aim is to offer products that are of high quality, functional and comfortable, and at the same time look good. Our product line includes items like military rucksacks, bags, vests and harnesses, professional special-purpose
life jackets that are, for example, also used by NATO, covers for splinter-proof vests for the United Nations Peacekeeping Missions, gun bags and tents, rucksacks
for mountaineers, different kinds of upholsteries for seats and wheelchairs. We also produce a wide range of haberdashery and leather goods.

Historically, our company dates
back to 1939 when it was established by seven entrepreneurial
artisans. Modern-day Galvi Linda
limited company was born in 1991
and has been operating for more
than 15 years gathering experience and knowledge that are
put to use on a day to day basis.

PRODUCTION
CAPACITY
Our facilities provide Galvi-Linda
Ltd with the flexibility to manufacture and deliver within the deadline
a large assortment of products in
quantities demanded by our customers. Our turnover is approximately 4 million Euros per year and it
has been increasing from year to
year. Currently, about 70 % of our
products are exported. The main
export destinations are Scandinavia and Germany. Over the past
eight years, we have also been
offering sub-contracting work,
namely sewing, for our valued customers in Norway, Sweden, Germany and Finland. We are open
to all forms of cooperation with
export markets.

Our company produces a large
variety of work clothes, military
vests, rucksacks, bags and harnesses, professional special-purpose life jackets, which are also
used by NATO, covers for splinter-proof vests for the United
Nations Peacekeeping Missions,
gun bags, ammunition pouches,
tents, rucksacks for mountaineers, various upholsteries for seats
and wheelchairs.
We supply the Estonian Defence
Forces with rucksacks and harnesses. Our models have been
tested by the Estonian army in all
kinds of military and combat situations and have been approved in
terms of resistance, quality and
functionality.
In the past years our products
have been tested and used
successfully in Iraq and Afganistan missions.

Short Description: The rucksack has two removable
side pockets, which can be zipped together and used as
a separate rucksack. Either or both of them can also
be attached to the back of the vest of infantry accoutrements. The size of the rucksack can be reduced by
removing the side pockets and closing the zippers on
the sides. At the bottom part of the rucksack there is
a separate compartment for footwear. Under the rucksack the rolled sleep mat can be attached. The product is sewn with strong impregnated thread. The critical points in the seams have been se reinforced with
short stitches (reeled). The polypropylene strap seams
are finished with transverse stitch, to make it the fasten-
ing stronger. The fastening and connecting straps are
made of woven polypropylene fibre material with a minimum tensile strength of 700 kg. The carrying capacity
of plastic quick release buckles of 25 mm width is 85
kg and of 50 mm width - 140 kg. The minimum carrying
capacity of the D-ring is 60 kg.
The minimum carrying capacity of the round buckle is
85 kg. Favolon of different thickness has been used for
padding the hip support, back and shoulder straps. Two
metal rods inside reinforce the back.
The rucksack uses snap fasteners consisting of the head
and the foot, which in its turn consist of an upper and a
lower part, to avoid spontaneous opening. The bracket
in the lower part of the snap fastener head closes and
opens in one direction only. To close the snap, the edge
towards the bracket has to be placed in the round hollow
of the snap foot and, keeping the bracket in the round
hollow, push the snap head and foot together. To open
the snap, the bracket must be pulled from the opposite
edge - to separate the snap head and foot.
The rucksack has two removable side pockets, which
can be zipped together and used as a separate rucksack. Either or both of them can also be attached to the
back of the vest of infantry accoutrements. On the side
pockets there are loops and fastening straps for attaching different items.
The size of the rucksack can be reduced by removing the
side pockets and closing the zippers on the sides. At the
bottom part of the rucksack there is a separate compartment for footwear. A zip-closed pocket covers the
inside of the back. Zip-closed pockets are on the flap and
the front side of the rucksack. On the flap pocket there
are loops and straps to attach different items. On the
front side are loops to attach different items The map
case can be attached to the flap fasteners on the front
side of the rucksack.
