The data of all selected profiles may be modified by pressing the enter key. 4 Project Profiles with Dual Surface Area In the Project Centre click on “Job” -> “Project Items” -> “Project Profiles”. Under “Inner Surface Area” and “Outer Surface Area” you may enter the values. 5 Estimation Estimation per Position LogiKal 8.1 has a new program option to estimate the price per position. You may see the price during the Input of Element. By creating a new project you have to activate the option “Estimation per Position”. The price will be shown at the top of the position drawing. Attention: Apportion costs and cut optimisations are not included. These must be entered as fixed value in the estimation data. 6 Excel Estimation The estimation can now be exported to MS Excel. Therefore, in the Project Centre under Evaluation click on “Excel Estimation”. 7 Input of Element Slab in Cross Section Slabs are now displayed in cross section. Make a new section over the complete height of the element with actual glass size. 8 Dynamic Display of Opening Angle The opening angle can now be dynamically displayed in the cross section. Actual glass size must be activated and door hinges have to be assigned. 9 Display tiles in Hardware Hardware articles can be displayed as tiles or by list. Right click in the list and select “View” -> “Tiles” from the context menu. Alternatively use the buttons on the top of the article list. 10 Project Hardware Packages If you often use the same hardware combinations you are now able to save your own hardware configurations by using the function “project hardware packages”. Create a position with hardware articles. Then select the button “Save as Project Hardware Package” on the left. Enter a name for the new hardware package. 11 This package is now also available for other positions. To insert a package click on “Hardware Package” in the hardware selection on the right side. Select your hardware package from the list that includes your own hardware configurations. 12 U-Value and Price on a glance The u-value and price can be displayed on the top of the position drawing. The price will only be displayed if you activate the option “Estimation per Position” (see page 4). To activate both values click on “View” -> “U-Value” and “View” -> “Price” in the file menu. 13 Cable Plan The new program version supports cable plans. Electronic components like cable inserts, cable exits and electric control units can be added in “Hardware” under the tab “Other hardware”. Click the button “Cable Plan” on the left side to modify the components. 14 Wall Connection Splices Wall connections can be spliced. When creating windows and doors you may click on “Profile Splices” under “Functions”. Select the wall connection in the position drawing. A new window appears. Determine the wall connection that shall be spliced. Then determine the position of the profile splice. 15 You are also able to make wall connection splices for curtain walls. Therefore, click on the button “Wall Connection Splices” and select the profile for the wall connection in the position drawing. The following procedure is identical to windows and doors. 16 Wall Connection Configuration There are five new possibilities to determine wall connections in the Input of Element. 1. All the same 2. Right, left and top the same 3. Right and left the same 4. All different 5. From another position 17 Wall Connection under door You may now determine wall connections under a door. 18 Pull Handle on Bracket Set Pull handles can be added and fixed on a bracket set. The accessories items will be considered in the piece list. The cutting length of the pull handle will be calculated as required and the machinings are generated. 19 Printout Cross Section Plan LogiKal 8.1 can identify same cross sections in the complete project. Select the button “Cross Section Plan” in the Project Centre. The same cross section of a position will be bundled and displayed in a “catalogue”. 20 User Database Apportion Costs in Global Preferences Select “User Database” -> “Global Preferences” -> “Apportion Costs” in the file menu of the Project Centre. A program window appears. Costs, which are entered in this form, will be apportioned to all projects. 21 Glass weight as Reference for Apportion Costs In the apportion costs under “reference” you may select the option ”per kg (Glass Weight)”. 22 CNC Free CNC Groups Create free machinings in the CNC database and combine them to a free CNC group. Click on the button “Import” in CNC Machining and import the group. Then enter several values for the continuous machining e.g. “Distance to edge start”, “Distance to edge end” and “max. Distance”. 23 A new free group is created with the various machinings. Change the data of the group on the right side of machining list. 24 This free group can also be copied to another bar. To display this group in single groups, right click on the group and select the option “Explode CNC Group”. The list with the single groups is displayed. 25 You may multiselect single CNC groups and delete them from the list. If you explode the group again, the free machinings of the group are displayed in the list. 26 Activate / Deactivate System CNC Groups You may activate / deactivate multiple system CNC groups by multiselect. 27
