Everest Basecamp Trekking
Everest Basecamp Trekking – a great challenge and achievement – a thrill being so
close to the highest peak on earth.
Everest base camp trek – once in a lifetime adventure destination :
Everest base camp trek is the most popular adventure activities in Himalaya
ever since Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa climbed the Mount
Everest in 1953. Trekking to the Everest base camp in Nepal is an ultimate
goal for trekkers and a beginning of the expedition bid for the climbers.
The journey to base camp and Kalapathar is once in a lifetime adventure of
great challenge and achievement with thrill of being so close to stand next to
the tallest mountain on planet. The scenery is breathtaking with parades of
glistening snow-capped peaks, spectacular glaciers, fascinating Sherpa
settlement and culture, ancient ornate monasteries and friendly eversmiling people.
Responsible trekking to Everest base camp with 01 Trekker :
01 Porter
We have time for trek orientation and preparation before we take an exciting
flight to Lukla STOL airport to start the adventure of the Everest base camp
trek. Hiking along the Dudh Koshi river, we climb up to the busting Sherpa
settlement of Namche Bazaar where we spend two nights to ensure proper
acclimatization with exploration hike aorund.
Leaving Namche we hike to hidden valley to Khunde and Khumjung and on
to Dingboche via Phortse village following the less trodden and longer route
to base camp. Picturesque Dingboche nestles in the sunny valley facing the
most beautiful Amadablam peak – a great place to spend two nights –
important days – to adjust the thinner oxygen level before the climb up
above 5000 meter.
The alpine sceneries on Everest base camp trekking become more rugged as
we trek above the tree line on the Khumbu glacier moraines to Lobuche and
then Gorak Shep, the last settlement before the base camp. Climbing to the
landmark destination of the Mount Everest base camp to leave the footprint
over the boulder-strewn moraines can be challenging but very rewarding for
the sense of achievement.
We climb up the Kalapathar peak at the height of 5545 meters, the highest
elevation on our entire trek, an experience never to be forgotten. If you have
ever longed to set eyes on the highest himalayan peaks and rugged pristine
glaciers around you, the view from Kalapathar will stay with you forever.
We trek different way down to Lukla via the Pheriche and Thyanboche
monastery allowing time to visit to the places of interest.
We ensure the medical trained group leader and enough support crew with
proper safety back up in your adventure holiday trip to Everest base camp
trek to make it a safe and trip of a lifetime in the Himalayas.

Reliable Tour Company in Nepal – They go extra miles
Guildford East District Scout, UK has worked with
Mountain Monarch on five occasions. In 2007 they
organized a trek to Everest Base Camp. In 2009, 2011 &
2013 they assisted us in organizing and installing clean
water supplies to a remote hillside villages and a bespoke
trek in the Annapurna, Langtang and Solu Khumbu
regions. At Easter this year 2015 they again assisted us in
organizing and installing another clean water supply in a
remote hillside village Gumda in the Lower Manaslu
region and provided us another bespoke trek.
Mountain Monarch has exceeded all these requirements.
On all five of the expeditions. Their service before, during
and after the expedition has been exemplary. Equipment
provided for our use was of the highest quality. The
dedication of the Trek Leaders and the Guides, to the
wellbeing of all party members has been first class and we

Namaste Pradip, I am writing to let you know that a
fantastic trek I had with your company and especially
the great job of our guide Ngima Sarki Sherpa in
getting me to Mt. Everest base camp. This adventure
was my seventieth birthday present to myself and
because of your company and Ngima outstanding
guide skills, it was a complete success! Ngima was
very professional and knowledgeable in so many
aspect of trekking.
For example, when we got to the higher altitudes, I
lost my appetite and could not eat. He always watched
over my meals, persuaded me to try to eat a little
more, or to take a few more bites, and son ensured
that I could keep up my strength for climbing and
trekking.Also I was a little self – conscious about
slipping on rocks and falling, so I was being extra
careful as we went up steep ascents or down deep
descents.
Ngima stayed by my side, sometimes holding my
arms, helping me cross wet rocks in streams and
assisting me when climbing was very difficult to over
loose rocks, When needed, he would have his
assistance guide or porter help me as well.
My friend trekking with me got headache as we
gained higher altitude and Ngima was right there to
help and he know just what to do , making sure she
was warm and drinking enough water. She also got
sick after eating some food and he watched after her
and gave her medicines to ensure she could continue
the trek.
He studies a lot of different subjects to prepare him to
assist trekkers and I feel very lucky that I had
someone so knowledgeable for my guide on the trek to
Everest base camp. The assistant guide Nuru and the
porter Pasang were also very friendly, caring and
incredibly helpful. Ngima management to them and
their individual enthusiasm and professionalism,
made this trek run very smoothly no matter what
circumstances we encountered: rain, sickness,
forgotten pieces or gear or difficult terrain. When I
trek again, I will absolutely use Mountain Monarch as
well as ask for Ngima as my guide. Thank you again
for such a wonderful experience

We had a wonderful trip to Nepal, in no small part
due to the great help and assistance provided by the
team at Mountain Monarch. In particular, we found
them to be very responsive to requests, modifications
and personalisation in relation to the trip. The team
that accompanied us on the trek itself was equally
helpful, friendly and professional. Highly
recommended.

Just want to officially thank Mountain Monarch and
leader of the Everest Base Camp Trek Karma Tamang
for your outstanding service. As you know, at
Pheriche, Himalayan Rescue Association diagnosed
me with High altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE),
with 60% O2. After 2 hours of O2 supply and Diamox
medication, they discharged me.
With Karma and his team continuous monitoring and
supply of O2, I was able to make it to Everest Base
Camp.
We also decided to descend from Kalapathar wisely.
Balancing the act of knowing what is possible or what
is not, responsible decision making is what sets MMA
apart. I would like to thank Karma and team to make
my dream possible, especially making my birthday
April 1 special during the trek. Your genuine caring
and professionalism is so unique now a day. I look
forward to future trekking with you.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to
all of you for such a wonderful trekking experience!!
Ron and I have done many climbs and we were truly
impressed with your staff, the accommodations, the
food, our trekking itinerary and the medical
knowledge that our head guide Netra had to put to
use with one of our team members.
We would not hesitate in recommending your
company to our friends! There is truly something
magical when trekking in the Himalayas whether it is
the people, the culture, the villages, the monasteries,
the scenery and the fact that it is the home of the
highest peaks in the world.
To be able to experience all of this with Mountain
Monarch was definitely special and never to be
forgotten!! Thanks again and happy holidays,

I had a great time on my trek to Everest Base
Camp and Kala Patar. Karma was an excellent
guide. I especially like the fact that he set a
slow pace so that everyone could keep up and
acclimate easily.
His knowledge of the mountains, Nepal history,
and Buddhist culture really added to the
enjoyment of the trek.
Most important was the emphasis on safety
and his knowledge of altitude sickness and
other potential problems, which made us
extremely happy to have selected such a
professional company.
