Make a book​
:​
Use a cereal boxes to make cover/s. Decide the size of the book, then
cut what is needed. Flip the sheet over so that the outside is plain cardboard. Lay papers
between the 2 fronts to create the pages. Staple or holepunch and use string or yarn to
“sew” together. Design the cover, then voila…..a book to write in!
Word Fun​
-cut out letters or words from a magazine, newspaper, or cereal box create words or sentences from the cut-outs to write a story or create an advertisement
for a made-up product

Word Fun ​
SNOWFLAKE' WORD RACE
SNOWFLAKE
Find as many little words as possible within the word 'snowflake' - before the timer runs
out. This can be played individually, in pairs, or small
teams...
Example for Snowflake:
snow, flake, now, owe, ale, was, saw, as, so, lake, won,
now, no, flow, low, know, kale, woe, sow, owl, oaf, nose,
etc.

Be scientists and mathematicians
Snowmen Melt
PK-Kmake different sizes of snowmen and place on plates. Predict which
one will melt first. Draw pictures of snowmen at different times. Even
more fun when you add toothpicks and small beads for eyes

Grades: make snowmen of the same size and put in different
locations of the room. Predict which snowman will melt first and tell why.
(Don’t forget to put snowmen up high – heat rises.)
3. 3rd and higher: when constructing snowmen, add other ingredients i.e.
sawdust, oatmeal, salt, flour when making individual snowmen. Discover which
ingredients make a snowman melt more slowly or quickly.

Use toilet paper, paper towel tubes,
pringle cans and label with numbers. Knock down the “pins” and add the
numbers together.
