attended in the history of Kappa with 3,000 brothers registered second to the Centennial

 The Southwestern Province is the home of Kappa Kamp and is currently housed in its fourth

I. Southwestern Province won National Guide Right Awards at the 82nd Grand Chapter
Meeting (tied with the most of any Province) including the Jay Crosby Award (Guide Right
Chapter of the year- small) Mansfield Cedar Hill Alumni and Bert Wadkins Award (Guide
Right Director of the Year - Medium) Draon Glenn (Arlington Grand Prairie Alumni)
II. Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation received a grant from Kellogg Foundation funding Guide
Right Naviance program
III. 27 Southwestern Province Chapters completed an enhanced Certification process
representing the best practices in Guide Right & 49 brothers from the Southwestern
Province had over 50+ hours Guide Right service hours in 2015
IV. Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation was first Black Greek organization to present at the College
Board, National Mentoring Summit, Naviance Summer Institute and the Open Society

Healthy Kappas, Healthy Communities Initiative
Initiative is spearheaded by the fraternity’s National Health and Wellness Committee.
Objective is to provide health and wellness information with measurement tools and
metrics for our membership, their families and their surrounding communities; to
educate them on ways to monitor their personal health status as well as to keep personal
health as a priority
