Samshield is the result of a mix between the young pro rider’s needs,
the young designer’s creative energy and engineer’s technical vision.
Samshield’s philosophy is to always provide advanced products in
terms of active and passive security, comfort, hygiene, material and
finish quality as well as customization.

Materials for optimum safety
The outer shell of the Samshield helmet is made of high quality
polycarbonate. The inner shell is made of polystyrene with variable
density providing a better dissipation of the energy produced upon
impact.
Stability
The internal comfort ‘‘memory’’ foam liner ensures a constant
thickness over the years of use and the semi-rigid jugular cancels
out all risks of tipping the helmet in case of a violent movement.
This internal comfort foam liner is removable and washable
repeatedly thanks to a clip system.
Perfect size adjustment for unmatched comfort
A thorough anthropomorphic study led to the design of an
inner-shell form liner generating an unmatched comfort.
Three shell sizes are available (M, L, XL). Each shell can accommodate
5 to 6 inner foam liners of different sizes (from 52 to 64) in order to obtain
a perfect adjustment to the rider’s head.
With this system, it is also possible to follow the growth of a young
rider.

Samshield helmets provides exceptional ventilation.
Fresh air flows from the front entrance to the back extractors around
comfort foam which prevents sweating.

The outer shell of the Premium helmet is equipped with original Alcantara®.
The polycarbonate external shell and the variable density inner shell
polystyrene provide a better dissipation of the energy produced in case of
impact.
The chin strap of the Premium helmet is made of genuine leather.
Equipped with two front air inlets, the Premium helmet provides exceptional
ventilation. Fresh air flows from both the front entrance under the blazon as
well as the channel obtained by the unique concept of no contact on the
rider’s forehead. Fresh air expels the hot air to the back extractors around
the comfort foam liner, making sweating impossible!
The Premium is delivered with a removable and washable inside comfort liner (clip
system fixation) and a transport backpack.
The Premium is available with ‘‘dressage chin strap’’ option: neck part with reduced
length in order to obtain more room for the hair bun.

The outer shell of the Shadowmatt helmet is made of polycarbonate. It is
finished with anti-scratch matt painting.
The polycarbonate external shell and the variable density inner shell
polystyrene provide a better dissipation of the energy produced in case of
impact.
Equipped with a front air inlet, the Shadowmatt helmet provides exceptional
ventilation. Fresh air flows from the front entrance to the back extractors
around the comfort foam which prevents sweating.
The Shadowmatt helmet is available in black, blue and brown. It is also available
with 5 or 255 Swarovski Elements® and a Crystal Fabric Swarovski® top.
The Shadowmatt is delivered with a removable and washable inside comfort liner

The V-skin gloves are made of 4 different materials placed at the

exceptional added grip, hand-to-horse connection, flexibility as

perfect fitting around the wrist
V-Skin gloves have been tested by Kevin Staut for one year before
being launched on the market.

High quality materials
It is at Samshield’s workshop, which is located in France, that
the helmets are meticulously assembled, tested, refined and
sometimes customized before being shipped to their rider.
A real know-how
The Swarovski® stones setting is also made in the Samshield
workshop. The Swarovski® crystals are clinched one by one on
the helmets. This operation needs two hours of goldsmith work.
To cover the outer shells, which are made of high quality polycarbonate
which is also used for premium motorcycle helmets, Samshield uses
noble materials such as genuine Alcantara®, classic or exotic leathers
(python, lizard, stingray, crocodile) or Crystal Fabric Swarovski®.
On request the workshop is able to print the name of the rider
on the helmet chin strap.
Particular attention to detail is made when selecting exotic
leathers. It is the same process used by many of the biggest
French leather merchants to ensure the leather selected is that
of humane processes.
Those manual assemblies ensure strengthened security and
high quality finish.
Customizations can be done on a helmet which has already
been purchased and used*.
*This service is not possible on the helmets over 5 years old** or on the SEI/ASTM
certified helmets (North America).
**The CE helmet standards obliges to renew any helmet over 5 years old in order to
avoid any eventual failure of the plastics resistance capacity.

In case of violent impact to your helmet we suggest you to send it
back to Samshield’s workshop.
When received it will be totally examined in order to determine if
the helmet has sustained damage.
Depending on the damage observed we will propose:
• either to replace damaged parts (renovation package*);
• either to proceed to a full exchange of the helmet at a recommended
price (a quotation will be proposed).
Obviously Samshield helmets have a one year warranty in case
of defect.
*This is a service which is proposed for the 5 first years** of a Samshield helmet. This
is not a warranty. This ‘‘renovation’’ package includes time spent, spare parts and
freight charge.
This service is not possible on the SEI/ASTM version helmet (North America).

To clean the outer shell of the helmets (Shadowmatt or Premium Alcantara) it is
recommended to use cleaning wipes or simply a wet sponge with natural soap.
Helmets should be left to dry naturally.
To maintain the leather top and strap of the Premium helmets, it is recommended to
use boot polish with silicone (that will waterproof the leather).
To clean the liner it is possible to use a washing machine but the best way is to hand wash
with soap because it doesn’t need a 30’/1h washing program!
Always inspect the inside and outside of the helmet as well as the chin strap before
and after use. When the helmet is not use, it should be stored away from the light.
The helmet should never be exposed to temperatures lower than -20°C or higher than
+50°C.
Any contact with corrosive or aggressive substances should be avoided. Use solvents
can alter the characteristics of the helmet and compromise its quality.
The life-span* of the helmet will depend on its careful maintenance and use.
Gloves are hand washable and machine washable (30° maxi) with a mild soap.
Is is strongly recommended to not use a tumble dryer.
