For this year’s panel discussion we are talking about the use of music in film,
what role it plays and the logistics behind it. We will be looking into the different
routes available for filmmakers to acquire music for their films, how to develop
relationships with composers, online networks and PRS companies. Also we’ll
look into how composers can promote themselves and how to work in various
different fields. Panellists include Connie Farr (ThinkSnyc Music), Richard
Paine (Faber Music), Vasco Hexel (Royal College of Music) and Composers Rob
Manning & Carly Paradis.

consultant and tutor Charles Harris takes you on a journey from the moment
you first put pen to paper to the point at which you are ready to start pitching or
directing your completed screenplay for film or television. He’ll be looking at the
five fatal flaws that can kill a script stone-dead and also at ways of breaking the
rules to bring freshness and develop your personal voice.
