We asked her to work with our partner agencies to locate new funding sources and to, hopefully, secure funding. Amanda has been successful in writing grants at the national and state levels, with particular expertise in K-12 education and in early reading instruction. She married a local boy, Bud Beaty, and they have lived and raised their family in Moultrie since 1973. Amanda has a passion for working with our partner agencies to bring additional funding into this community to help them achieve their goals. Education . United Way awarded a Community Impact grant in the area of education in the fall of 2015. The award was given to the Moultrie-Colquitt Library for Story Time in the Park. This is a three year award to provide interactive story times that will include a variety of literature genres and utilize storytelling techniques such as puppetry, call and response, role playing, mime, etc. Professional storytellers, puppeteers, authors, musicians and performing artists will be brought in to take the library out into the community and to promote the parks as community hubs.
