Two Miniature Haggadot
“A miniature book is defined by most aficionados as measuring a
maximum of 3 inches or 76 millimeters in height” [Miniature Books
Bromer and Edison page 11]. According to this definition, both of the
following Haggadot can be classified as miniatures.

on the occasion of the exhibition - Jews in Yugoslavia. It is not actually a

commentary as well as the commentaries of Mahzor Vitry, Kol Bo,
Shibolei Haleket, Rabbi Judah Loew, Rabbi Moses Alsheikh, Rabbi
Isaiah Horowitz Halevi, Rabbi Jacob Emden and Rabbi Elijah of Vilna. .
Beautifully illustrated with highly distinctive b/w drawings by Lola. Text
in Hebrew. One or two stains and some minor wear but overall an
unusually good copy. Lola (Leon David Azriel) was a Russian born
American Jewish cartoonist who emigrated to the United States in 1908.
He studied at Columbia University and the National Academy of
Designs. His work appeared in a number of Yiddish newspapers and the
English language American Hebrew. J D Eisenstein (1854-1956) was a
writer and compiler of anthologies and a multi-volume Hebrew
encyclopedia Ozar Yisrael. [ref: 11634 ]
