Ride more, pump less. That sounds like a great idea and the new Twist Lock Valve from BEST will help
you achieve it. You’ll spend less time inflating so you’ll be on the water before your friends and less

The Twist Lock Valve is the ultimate addition to our EZ-Pump inflation system. Its large one way valve
allows 3x the airflow of a standard kite valve; which means less back-pressure from your pump and
faster inflation. Once your kite is inflated just push the valve stem home and give the large locking ring
a quarter turn to secure it. Because it twists to lock it can’t unlock or be blown open during a crash so
you can concentrate on pushing for your next trick with one less thing to worry about. When it’s time
to pack up just twist the valve to unlock, depress the deflate tab in the middle of the valve and you are
ready to roll up and hit the bar.
With 3x the air flow of a standard kite valve our new Twist-Lock-Valve is the simplest and most reliable

Double Core RS weaves two bundles of high tenacity filaments into the Warp and Weft of the canopy
fabric to deliver maximum resistance to tear propagation and improved bias load handling. By
combining this innovative double-stop weave with our Air-Aid coating technology we have created
a unique, lightweight, responsive canopy material of unmatched strength and durability- and it’s
exclusive to Best.
The 2014 Bomb Proof Build materials and construction technology package is the product of a
decade of constant R&D into building better kites. We use the best materials from industry-leading
fabric mills and, as with the Double Core RS, if it doesn’t exist, we research and develop it ourselves.
Every leading edge is stitched with a brand new needle that punches smaller holes and provides
greater stitch tension. We laser cut our struts and Kevlar tape the seams as there is no stiffer,
lighter and more durable way to connect the struts to the leading edge. Kevlar Elbows and 3D injection
moulded scuff pads on the angled leading edge sections and wing-tips ensure maximum resistance
to abrasion. There are hidden load-bearing patches for bridles and fifth lines reinforcing the leading
edge from the inside, eliminating the risk of frayed Dacron edges for a stronger, longer lasting kite. A
triple stitched tip-to-toe shaped Load Flex Seam forms the backbone upon which the immense strength
and structural stability of all our kites are based. Finally, the Dacron trailing edge eliminates stretch,
reduces wind flutter and increases turning speed and durability.

Best are the first kiteboard manufacturer to introduce Basalt Fiber Technology to their boards. This
season, Basalt Fiber Tec reinforcements feature across our entire twin-tip line-up.
Basalt fibres are extruded directly from crushed and smelted rock powder, no chemicals are added to
the mix and the production process uses less energy than either glass or carbon fiber. 20% stronger
than fiberglass and more progressively damped than carbon, our boards are now even lighter, tougher,
deliver huge pop yet still maintain silky smooth handling in choppy conditions.
Our 2014 twin-tip line up is more eco-friendly and even higher performing as a direct result of our

(pre-preg) fibre and resin systems so they can deliver the highest tech composite production,
providing maximum strength, durability and performance. Early kiteboards, however, were
constructed with ‘wet’ resin and fibre systems that involved liquid polyester or epoxy resin poured
directly onto fibreglass matting. Excess resin was then scraped off the board before it set or was
sanded off afterwards. For some manufacturers little has changed in their practices over the last
decade. The use of wet resin or resin transfer moulding processes leave excess resin on
the board at the end of construction, not only adding extra weight, but without the ideal ratio
of fibre to resin that you get with a pre-preg construction meaning boards from
manufacturers who still use these wet processes will be weaker, heavier and inconsistently finished.
We think you deserve better.
We use a 100% pre-preg layup process on all our twin-tips to ensure that every board delivers the
optimum strength-to-weight ratio, saving up to 700 grams on the weight of each board compared with
other construction methods. Lighter and stronger, they’re lower fat because every gram counts.
We use Discrete Inserts on all our twin-tips because there’s no point in creating a superb core, lay-up
and progressive flex pattern to then spoil the feel of the ride by using large insert blocks or a rail
system for attaching your pads/straps or bindings.
We’ve created great boards and we want you to really feel them beneath your feet; to be engaged in
riding them and for them to feed back changes in water conditions so you can adapt your stance and
riding style.
Our Discrete Insert system uses single screw inserts that are thermally bonded into the board and
then reinforced with Pre-Preg tape. Each insert is large enough to spread the load from your straps or
bindings but small enough to make sure it never interrupts the flex pattern of your board.
The Pro-creator and Profanity are built with hybrid wood cores and we place a heavy-duty section of
Beech wood around the inserts to ensure they’re tough enough to stand up to the abuse and extra
stresses that riding in boots puts upon a board. Our Beech wood blocks allow the boards to retain their
flex, feel and strength and for you to maintain all the control you need.

Providing you with the ultimate safety system will always be high on our list of priorities. The Pro Cuff+
uses a simple and highly effective push-to-release mechanism and, although only requires a sub 10kg
activation pressure regardless of flying line load, it also has a high resistance to false releases.
The Pro Cuff+ is held in place by two simple and safe elastic bungees, the design of which means there’s
no chance of catching or cutting your hand on this release. Re-setting the Pro Cuff+ after activation
couldn’t be easier: push the chicken-loop line into place in the main body and just slide the other cuff
down until it clicks into place. It’s so simple a child could do it.
The Pro Cuff+ has met or exceeded all international safety standard requirements. Tested relentlessly
by our pro freestyle and wave teams, you can focus on enjoying your riding knowing that you’ve chosen

Our 2014 adjustable clam cleat depower system makes the RP and GP bars even easier to use.

Extreme kiters need extreme control, durability and safety and that’s what the Extract bar delivers.
Created by Ruben to be the perfect match to his extreme kiting style the Extract bar uses our Pro-Cuff+ QR
which provides one handed safety activation with a sub 10kg release pressure and is resistant to false releases.
Ruben selected our double thickness, 8mm Depower Rope and Delrin Insert system for maximum durability when
performing mega loops and throwing huge airs.
To keep his kite in perfect trim Ruben rides with our fully adjustable Clam Cleat depower system which allows him
to adjust his depower set-up and bar position to suit the any conditions. Adjustable left or right handed front line
safety and Heavy Duty Front Lines come as standard on the Extract bar, with higher breaking strain front lines

comfort and control regardless of their preferred riding style.
3D Sculpted anatomic fit for insane support.
To give you maximum lower back support we have crafted an all new 3D sculpted anatomic lumber support that
follows the curvature of your lower vertebrae. It moves and flexes with your body providing comfort and support
in equal measure. A wrap-around, Thermoformed EVA body belt ensures there’s no hot spots on your harness and
allows freedom of movement so you can express your riding style. Fastened with our dual strap closure you can
adjust your spreader bar position to fully customize your harness fit.
Triple stitched and reinforced all round the waist harness is trimmed with soft neoprene edging. The integrated
spreader bar pad protects your ribcage from crash landings and an additional spreader bar strap helps keep
everything locked down for riding in insanely powered conditions.

Around the back of the harness you’ll find out heavy duty handlepass leash loop and two stainless steel D-ring

their back need look no further. If you are just starting out in kiting, a seasoned veteran or just looking for an easy
riding harness for cruising around the new seat harness from Best is the obvious choice.
The seat harness features a thermoformed EVA lumbar support pad and neoprene padded legs straps for day
long riding comfort. The back panel has a cutaway section with adjustable trim straps to help ensure the perfect
user adjusted fit while the spreader bar uses the same integrated pad and dual strap system as our waist harness.
Tucked under the spreader bar you’ll find our dual blade, aluminium bodied hook knife and around the back we’ve
fitted a heavy duty handlepass leash loop for you to clip you kite leash to.
