Located at the tiptop of the Bluegrass Region, we are within one hour of Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati, OH. Zion, Kentucky [859] 428-4500 www.grantcountyparks.com The 1,136 acre WMA consists of level to rolling terrain with some steep hills, fields, and woods provides opportunity for public hunting, fishing, and other outdoor related activities. The area is open to the public daily and offers several miles of hiking trails, trap, skeet, and rifle shooting ranges, an archery range as well as a 15 target archery trail. Leary Lake provides a nice spot to relax and catch some fish. The 1 mile nature trail through one of the state’s old- est forest stands provides a great place to view wildflowers or song birds. The Ark Encounter is a one-of-a-kind historical themed attraction. In an entertaining and educational way, it will present a number of themes from the Old Testament, centered on a full-size, all-wood Ark in the first phase. The attraction also includes future phase such as a walled city, a first century Middle Eastern village, a tower of Babel, an expanded petting zoo, nature walking trails and other attractions. The 15 acre Piddle Park in Dry Ridge provides a shelter with restroom facilities, a large playground, two tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball courts, and a softball/baseball field for all ages. Lake Pollywog is stocked twice a year by the KY Fish and Wildlife Division’s FIN program. Main Street, Dry Ridge [Behind Drug Store] [859] 824-3335 Part of Dry Ridge’s Piddle Park the skate park is built into a hill and has an amazing old school snake run that starts at the crest of a hill and runs down into the main level. It has a bench T like grind platforms, a bridge, mogul like bumps in the horseshoe and a tight kidney shaped bowl. The park has speed lines everywhere. Open daily dawn till dusk. Skate Park to the right of the park entrance. www.grantcounty.ky.gov This neighborhood park offers a whiffle ball field and a basketball court. Open to the community, this park is a great place for a play date with the kids or a pick up game with some friends. Corner of Helton Rd and Helton Heights, Williamstown [859] 824-6351 This park features a 1.1 mile walking trail that takes your through thick woods, varied terrain, changes in elevation over a pedestrian bridge to a walk around a 10 acre lake. It sits nicely in a country setting overlooking a rural family farm. 14460 Jonesville Rd, Jonesville [859] 428-4500 This facility has two shelters, two lighted baseball/softball fields and public restrooms. Mullins Fields is home to the Grant County Youth Baseball and Softball League as well as Adult Co-Ed Softball. The park is owned and operated by the City of Corinth and sits on the same site as their community center. BIKING ROUTES Cynthiana Road | 5.36 Miles Steep Incline, Single Lane Rd Starting in Historic Williamstown and trailing down a single lane road into the country Hightower-Tebelman Road | 1.4 Miles Single Lane Rd A beautiful ride through he country past picturesque farms and through the woods. Stone Schoolhouse Road | 2.93 Miles Single Lane Rd Ride past pastures and over creeks Dunn Maize Road | 2.06 Miles Steep Incline, Single Lane Pass small horse and cattle farms Baker Williams Road | 4.05 Miles Steep Incline, Single Lane A longer ride past some of the prettiest farms in the county. Fork Lick Road | 2.27 Miles Single Lane A nice ride that takes you through the backwoods and along a creek. Turner Road | 2.56 Miles Steep Incline, Singe Lane Connecting Baker Williams with Lincoln Ridge Rd stop and rest at historic Dunn Cemetery. Lincoln Ridge Rd | 3.92 Miles Steep Incline, Single Lane Start off your ride along the creek and climb the ridgeline into the town of Mason, stop for a drink a Bruce’s General Store. Mason-Cordova Rd | 4.68 Miles Steep Incline, Single Lane Connection Hwy 36 and U.S. 25 ride through thick trees and over creeks past fields and farms. Rules of the Road 1. Protect your head. Please note that these routes have no designated path for cyclists, be mindful of motorists and obey all traffic laws. Many of the routes are hilly and can at times be windy. Bike at your own risk. Grant County Family Fun Map Bullock Pen Lake is owned by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. The lake is 134 acres and features largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish fishing. Violet Rd (KY 491), Crittenden [859] 428-1644 Directions: I-75 to Exit 166, West on Violet Rd, bear left at the fork to stay on Violet Rd. www.fw.ky.gov Boltz Lake is an 86 acre lake with 5.7 miles of shoreline. The lake has a 10hp motor limit and is home to largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. Fashion Ridge turns into Curry Lane. www.fw.ky.gov Lake Williamstown has over 300 acres of beautiful water and 32 miles of shoreline. The lake is a popular recreation spot for boating, pontoon rental, fishing and Jet skiing. The Lake is known as a recreation destination with events such as bass tournaments and Paddle Williamstown the annual paddle festival held each year in August. Miller Lake is part of J.B. Miller Park and is a popular fishing lake that includes a fishing pier and wooded picnic area. Fishing licenses required. There is also a public pool, playground and facilities for horseback riding, primitive cabins and camping sites with full RV hookups and plenty of space for bike riding. The Golf Course is a mostly private but offers public tee times on weekdays. The Clubhouse and Junior Olympic Sized Pool are available for daily swimming, outings, and parties. 990 Crittenden-Mt.
