Learn fun songs and dances, play musical instruments, sing and play while making new friends! This class promotes learning through play, parent/child bonding, an appreciation for music, language and motor skills development. Come play with Miss Carmen! Classes are held in the Recreation Room. Ages ?-6 This class helps children learn the fundamentals of soccer in a non -competitive setting. This class will help your child develop social skills such as listening and following directions as well as help with hand-eye coordination. Your child will be introduced to throwing, catching and hitting. Listening and following directions are also emphasized. Studies show that informal learning settings, such as after school programs, provide various opportunities for children to get excited about STEAM activities. Our program will provide students the opportunity to experience a hands-on, inquiry based learning style where they are able to experiment with science and technology with the supervision of a supportive adult. The program will be held at the Growing Scholars Educational Ctr, 6322 Old Collinsville Rd (across the street from Dandy Inn). They have set time for homework help and studying. Available STEAM clubs to participate in are Drama, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. They also offer FREE transportation from Fairview Heights, O'Fallon and Central Schools. LUNCH BOX BARGAIN Ages 7-Aduit Beginner through black belt karate program designed to teach students all aspects of traditional karate: basic techniques, stances, kata/forms, self-defense, mat work, and sparring. A great family activity to gain self-confidence, self-esteem, self-respect, self-defense, and self-discipline. All while getting in shape and learning to defend one-self. The rodeo is open to Fairview Heights residents and guests of Elk's Lodge 664 members. There is a $5.00 registration fee which includes food, refreshments, plaques and prizes.
