TANKERS TANKERS Tankers are a critical part of any full-service fire-rescue fleet. Spartan ERV’s extensive knowledge and experience of the fire industry and in-field demands has resulted in durably designed Tankers that deliver higher quality and better performance. At Spartan ERV, we build a full line of Tankers through the Star and Classic Series that can handle from 1,500 to up to 4,000 gallons of water and offer a category-leading combination of exclusive features and technologies, along with the most innovative components available today. EXPECT MORE THAN A TYPICAL TANKER We don’t just build tankers, we build tanks. Spartan ERV is one of the few apparatus manufacturers that designs and builds its own polypropylene, also known as poly water tanks. Custom constructing our own poly water tanks enhances the quality, performance, and affordability of each Classic Series apparatus. Spartan’s water tank design utilizes interlocking ¾” polypropylene sheets, reinforced with a weld bead for a more structurally sound fit. We custom construct tanks in a wide variety of sizes and types, in either standard rescue style, “T” style, or a wetside tank configuration for custom integration with the rest of the apparatus and chassis. tanker models STAR SERIES CLASSIC SERIES Description Highly-engineered line of custom fire apparatus that can be configured to meet any customer requirement. It simplifies the regulation of wet or dry CAFS, a firefighting need that is otherwise manual, difficult and time consuming without the Spartan CAFS. The simplicity and reliability it provides compliments the flow of water by enabling the electrical system to automatically actuate the injection of foam and air using state-of-the-art electronics and exclusive plumbing design/engineering. 3 simple steps to flow cafs After pump is engaged and flowing water: 1. Engage air compressor 2. Open water valve with wet/dry CAFS switch (this will automatically engage foam system) 3. Bring throttle to approximately 100 PSI 1 easy step to flow cafs After pump is engaged and flowing water: 1. Press One-Touch button to engage CAFS (this will automatically engage foam system and inject (or normal pumping pressure) * Adjust wet/dry CAFS with electronic switch technology air into appropriate discharge) * Adjust wet/dry CAFS by gating the water valve and maintaining pressure auxiliary power unit (APU) The auxiliary power unit technology features the ability to automatically shut down the main engine, while allowing the APU to startup routinely. With the ability to be retrofitted to both new and existing engines and chassis, a Spartan ERV APU has low maintenance costs. Replacement belts for the APU are available at nearly all automotive stores nationally.
