Dear Colleagues,
Academy of cardiology at Mumbai has been conducting theme based program
in the field of cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology since
2001. The topics covered in the previous meetings included Coronary artery
disease, Coronary interventions, Hypertension, Heart Failure, Acute cardiac
care, Controversies in cardiology, Stable coronary artery disease and Cardiology
clinics: Bedside to Therapeutics.
The theme for this year’s meeting is “Innovations in Thrombosis Management”
Thrombus plays a major role in day to day emergencies like Acute coronary
syndrome, ST elevation MI, Venous thrombo-embolic disease (DVT and
Pulmonary embolism), Stent occlusion, Prosthetic valve thrombosis and graft
closure. There have been several innovations involving laboratory tests, newer
therapeutic agents, techniques and devices to enable better management of these
patients.
A galaxy of National and International faculty will address above issues in
different scientific formats to enhance our knowledge and improve patient care.
The process of MMC accreditation is in progress.
