Aquarela do Brazil nº 75 – São Conrado “The Port and Navigation Sector in Brazil” Objectives Adalberto Tokarski is the Director-General of Brazilian National Waterway Transportation Agency - ANTAQ. He is graduated in Civil Engineering, attended an MBA in regulation, has extensive professional experience, on private and public sectors, on the fields of transport and logistics, construction industry, projects and planning, along with the Federal, District and Municipal Government. Representative of Brazil at INCOM - Inland Navigation Commission of PIANC. During the last twenty years, has engaged his efforts to the strengthening of Brazilian logistics, with an emphasis on the better use of multimodality, with emphasis being placed on waterborne transport, notably inland navigation, being the representative of the waterborne field on the Technical Chambers of the National Water Resources Council – CNRH. He was also Chairman of the Agency for Development of the Centro-North Corridor – ADECON. Regarding the port’s sector, he was the Chairman of the Port Authority Council (CAP) of the ports related to the Companhia Docas do Pará (CDP). The terminal has 810 meters of continuous quay with a great depth, in addition to ground infrastructure with equipment of last generation, which allows a quick operation of large ships.
