n September Fr. Florián

to the annual seminarian
convivence in Porto San
Giorgio (Italy). Four new
brothers were assigned to
the Redemptoris Mater
in Denver, -from right to
left- Wilfried (from Ivory
Coast), Juan Francisco
(from El Salvador), Hernaldo (from Costa Rica), and
Manolo, from Spain.

Farewell to our Rector
L
ast September Card. Vallini,
the Cardinal Vicar for Rome,
called Fr. Florián back to Rome
to serve at the Redemptoris Mater Seminary there. Fr. Florián
had been the Rector in Denver
for 18 years, and we will miss
him a lot. Farewell Florián !!!
Lectorate 2013
n October, Archbishop Aquila came to the Seminary
to celebrate the Installation of Lectors. Two brothers,
Mateusz (right), from Poland, and Tomislav (left), from
Croatia, received the ministry of Lector. In the picture
are also Fr. Giovanni, the Vice-Rector, with Fr. David, our
Spiritual Director, and Fr. Bill Breslin, our confessor.

Eucharist with Archbishop Aquila
W
e are very glad that the Archbishop visits us frequently. In his December visit he celebrated the
Eucharist with us, together with many of the priests and
the Colorado team for the Neocatechumenal Way, Don &
Rosemary, Fr. Giuseppe and seminarian Wellington. At
the end the Archbishop took a picture with all the seminarians and the seminary formators. Also was the first
Eucharist of our rector Fr. Tobías with the Archbishop
Aquila.

Christmas Dinner
n Dec. 17 we celebrated a beautiful Christmas gathering with our friends, benefactors and collaborators
just before we went on our Christmas break. Fr. Tobías,
the new rector, presided at the Eucharist, and all seminarians joined in singing Christmas carols. Many of the
priests ordained from the Seminary, as well as the Denver
Vocational Center were also here for the occasion.

Rector Installation
n January 24, Archbishop Aquila installed Fr. Tobías
Rector of the Seminary in our chapel. The Rector
and faculty of St. John Vianney Seminary also accompained us, together with Msgr. Fryar, the Vicar General, and
many other brothers and seminary friends.
