Poon Yew Hoe is the Managing
Partner of Crowe Horwath in
Malaysia and Cambodia. His
experience spans 37 years which
includes a 6-year stint with a
major accounting firm and
2 years with a commercial
firm in Malaysia.
Kien Hoe is the Partner-inCharge and Co-head of the
Crowe Horwath Kuala Lumpur
audit and assurance and
corporate advisory divisions.
Having been in practice for 25
years, Kien Hoe has extensive
experience in auditing, corporate
finance, initial public offering,
corporate restructuring, mergers
& acquisitions, due diligence,
insolvency and liquidation
matters. He has been extensively
involved in the flotation exercises
of a number of companies on the
Main and ACE market of Bursa
Malaysia. In addition, he was
involved in cross border listings
such as the Stock Exchange of
Hong Kong and the Alternative
Investment Market (AIM) of the
London Stock Exchange, UK.
Chea Virakphakdei also
known as PD is a manager
of Crowe Horwath (KH) Ltd.
He has 2 years of experience
as a financial accountant in
a multinational company and
4 years in auditing, taxation,
accounting and business
advisory. PD holds university
degrees in Bachelor of
Accounting (Royal University
of Law and Economics) and
Bachelor of Teaching English as
Foreign Language (Cambodia
Mekong University).
Having been in practice since
1983, Yew Hoe has diverse
experience in auditing, taxation,
business advisory, investigations
and due diligence reviews. His
clients include public listed
and multi-national companies
engaged in a variety of industries
such as manufacturing, property
development, construction,
shipbuilding, tertiary education
and hospitality.
He was the chairman of the
Crowe Horwath International
Tax Committee from year
2008 to 2010, and is a Council
member and Exco member of
the Chartered Tax Institute of
Malaysia and Council member of
the Malaysian Institute of Certified
Public Accountants. He is also
a member of the Kampuchea
Institute of Certified Public
Accountants & Auditors
(KICPAA).
Kien Hoe was also appointed
as a Special Administrator by
Danaharta (Malaysia’s asset
management company) to
oversee the administration of
financially-troubled companies.
He currently serves as an
independent non-executive
director of four listed companies.
Kien Hoe is also a member of the
Kampuchea Institute of Certified
Public Accountants & Auditors
(KICPAA).
