ASSETS AND EXPERTISE
ASSETS AND EXPERTISE Design and development department employs 5 technicians under the supervision of a chief engineer of 20 years experience. A systematic study is carried out for each project. This includes site inspection, collection of data, establishing the design criteria in relation with the client’s requirement... CAD technology is widly used, allowing worldwide transmission in the shortest time. The company operates two production plants of respectively 6,000 m2 and 10,000 m2 equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. All welders are certified by Bureau Veritas and a quality plan is implemented for every order. On-site installation is always carried out under the control of a senior supervisor. Besides the pontoons, Atlantic Marine design and build the whole facility including anchoring system (piles, sinkers, tie-rods) and M&E works (electrical, water, firefighting, fuel supply, sewage pump, controlled gate...) PRODUCTS Atlantic Marine floating dock system caters for the lightest crafts to the Megayachts and Passenger Ferry. The range of products has been developed to answer the need of any marine operator: Private developer (marina and residential marina) Town councils, municipalities… (public marina, floating bridge, public jetty) Navy, Customs and Coast guard (dock for patrol crafts and landing crafts < 300 ton) Professionals (pontoons for ferry, fishing trawlers, aquaculture…) Sport and leisure associations (rowing pontoon, swimming platform…) River floating jetty – Colmar, France Rowing pontoon – Grenoble, France Marina pontoon – La Rochelle, France Fishing pontoon – Les Sables d’Olonne, France Pontoons are up to 12m long. Interconnected, they make up piers with virtually no limit in length. Monolithic pontoons are supplied in widths of 2.0 to 3.0m while modular pontoons (stiffened with tie-beam) are commonly 4.0 to 5.0m wide. Freeboard (from 200mm to 1.5m) and liveload (from 1.0 to 5.0 Kpa) will suit all requirements and International Construction Standards. Fingers range from 4.0m to 18m in length and 0.6m to 1.5m in width. Tip-end piles are required from 12m up. A list of accessories such as mooring cleats, bollards, fenders, ladders is available on request. Extra wide pontoon (7.5m) Les Sables d’Olonne, France Megayacht pontoon – Beirut, Lebanon Ferry pontoon- Guadeloupe, French Caribbean MATERIALS SPECIFICATION Atlantic Marine system features non-corrosive materials specifically selected for their suitability in marine environment and subject to strict quality control at every stage of construction. Aluminium chassis: Chassis are made of aluminium marine alloy 6005 and designed as truss-frame. Longitudinal beams are custom-built extruded section (5 to 14 kg/m) while transversals and diagonals are Rectangular (R.H.S.) or Square Hollow Sections (S.H.S.). All members are assembled by MIG welding. View of aluminium frame prior to laying the deck - Singapore Decks: Atlantic Marine offers several types of deck. Tropical hardwood, preferably from Brazil, with high density (in excess of 900kg/m3) and long durability for outdoor use. 45mm thick polypropylene (PP). Aluminium deck. Fenders: Fenders are fitted on all exposed edges of the pontoons, fingers and pile guides. Materials offered are timber, HDPE, PVC and rubber. Shapes, dimensions and colors are adapted to every need. Floats: Floats are independent and attached to the chassis by clamps or bolts. They are 100% foam filled making pontoons unsinkable. Replacement if needed can be carried out without the need to dry-dock. Polyethylene floats (HDPE) are now most common due to their cost effectiveness and free maintenance. Aluminium floats are more suited to areas subject to strong current and floating debris. Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) floats provide wave-attenuation capability when it is needed. Anchoring system : Atlantic Marine pontoon suits all methods of anchoring, piles (steel, wooden, concrete), sinkers and chains, tie-rods to shore, H-beam to vertical wall… Loading calculations are prepared by our design team based on site conditions and Industry Standards. Atlantic Marine is able to carry out anchoring works all over the world. Our expertise in aluminium construction allowed us to get involved in various projects such as aquaculture farms, sewage plants and navigation beacons. Floating bridge- Cruas, France ALUMINIUM PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES Atlantic Marine has developed a range of aluminium bridges. They cater for pedestrian and light vehicles (bicycles, golf carts) and can span up to 45 meters over roads, railways and rivers. Their main advantages are a shortened installation time (less obstruction to traffic) and much lower maintenance cost in relation to steel or concrete bridges. As for all its activities, Atlantic Marine can undertake the whole project including foundations. 22m x 2m bridge Martinique, French Caribbean 20m x 2m bridge Guadeloupe, French Caribbean 27m x 2m bridge Fort de France, French Caribbean Aluminium bridge Les trios Ilets, French Caribbean 31m x 2.5m bridge - Josselin, France 28m x 2m bridge - Veirn sur Seiche, France 44m x 1.5m bridge - Ploermel, France Access bridge to Fort Boyard – France Atlantic Marine WORLDWIDE Geneva – Switzerland Al Sharq – Kuweit La Rochelle – France Beirut – Lebanon El Kantaoui- Tunisia Dubai – UAE
