REVEAL THE BEAUTY OF NATURAL LIGHT
Irisations designs and makes unique custom-made art stained glass windows that reveal the
beauty of light.
Working together with architects, decorators and designers, Irisations makes stained glass
windows for any opening or interior : apartments, town houses, hotels, restaurants, museums...
Irisations helps preserve and enhance the architectural and cultural heritage, restores and provides
guidance for the conservation of stained glass panels, whether civil or religious.
Irisations also trains both enthusiasts and professionals on stained glass and glass painting.
YSANIA, PEINTURES DE LUMIERE CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
As a first-time exhibitor at the Maison & Objet Paris Fair in January 2016, Irisations introduces
Ysania contemporary creations.
The pieces that are exclusively displayed to professionnals are unique. The artwork is a mix of
traditional and innovative materials like glass, wood and aims to smoothly fit any living area as well
as to provide customization and intimacy.
Butterfly-Woman : elegance, grace and curves of feminity. Lightness of the touch and bubble
glass for this butterfly which vibrant and iridescent wings merge with the blue of the sky and the
green of the nature. A work that combines sensuality and spirituality.
Prairie : an elegant and sophisticated design stressed by the graphics of lead lines and enhanced
by the shine of iridescent glasses that glitter in the light. A ground of light and pattern-printed
glasses that provides calm, sobriety and intimacy.
Eclipse : the light hidden or disclosed by a star on a sunset background. A dynamic fast-changing
sky full of colors that suggests a half solar and half lunar world. A stained glass panel dominated
by a warm green glass, simultaneously cosmic and terrestrial, stressed by comforting round lead
lines.
Flamenco : scenography of the fire's dance. Twirling lead lines give rhythm to sparkling and
astonishingly powerful colors. The variations and waves in glasses may evoke an andalusian
music.
Bouquet : a world of water flowers. The sharp contrast between a deep blue color, the water, the
sky and reddening flowers, which fragile stem soars stylishly.
INTRODUCING A UNIQUE CONCEPT : STAINED GLASS AS AN OBJET D'ART
Although custom-made stained glass windows are made in the studio to adjust to the size and
frames of the windows and openings, Irisations has developed a new concept that is introduced at
the Maison & Objet Paris January 2016 fair : decorative stained glass panels to display in interiors.
This comes as a stained glass objet d'art that can be switched from one place to another pending
needs, seasons, or personal desires. As a consequence, it is a source or perpetual rediscovery.
THE MADE IN FRANCE KNOWHOW AND STAINED GLASS STANDARDS OF PRACTICE
Irisations leverages the french heritage of historic leaded glass panels and uses mouth-blown
glass as well as opalescent and faceted glass. The decoration techniques range from glass
painting to sandblasting and glass etching.
All stained glass windows are designed, made, decorated and restored in accordance with the
french standards of professional practice by qualified craftsmen in the Irisations studio located in
Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse close to Paris and Versailles in France.
THE IRISATION OF THE GLASS
Irisation is an optical property that some compounds like minerals and metals do own. As an effect
of that property, the light splits and produces on their top surface the colors of the light spectrum
(iris, rainbow).
Irisation can be produced as a decorative effect. The glass is topped with a very thin coat of metal
compound. The result is sophisticated.
