SIGHTSEEING TOURS - PARIS CANAL CRUISES
2010/11
Cruise on the Seine & Canal Saint Martin
Daily from March 21st to November 11th
Live English commentary
An original and unexpected view of Paris ! Our cruise brings you the best of
both worlds: the grandeur of the Seine together with the quiet intimacy of
Napoleon’s canals. Embarkation is just below the Musée d’Orsay. Then a
veritable parade of monuments: the Louvre, the Institute of France, the spires
of Notre-Dame, the Ile Saint Louis before arriving at the entrance of the canal
Saint Martin whose first section is an astonishing, eerily-lit tunnel which passes
under the place de la Bastille.
Once more in the light of day, you will discover the most romantic street in
Paris... 3 miles of pure poetry. In its jade coloured water are reflected old swing
bridges, halfmoon footbridges and the abundant foliage of horse-chestnut trees.
The canal Saint Martin reveals a side of the city that the tourist usually
doesn’t get to see. The canal climbs its way through a series of 19th
century locks and some enchanting old areas of Paris, steeped in popular
history until, 26 metres above the Seine, it comes up to the Villette Basin.
Here you will pass the raised bridge of Crimée before arriving at the Park
of la Villette where the Science Museum, the Geode and enchanting
thematic gardens await you.

Cruise the waterways of France...
You can cruise the waterways of France in one of our well-appointed boats. There are eighteen different
boat models beautifully prepared and ready to go. They can accommodate from two to twelve people
aboard. You don’t even need a special driver’s licence. On some of our configurations you can even
attach a special water heated and filtered pool option.
There are fourteen different regions to choose from: La Bretagne, The land of legends; L’Anjou, drifting
by the chateaux; L’Aquitaine/Gascogne/Le Lot, the rich and varied wilds of the Lot; La Charente,
green countryside and beautiful waterways; Bourgogne, the hills and forests of Burgundy; Val de
Loire/Nivernais, the land of Briare and Sancerre; Le midi, the Midi canal, a Unesco world heritage;
La Camargue, South of France nature reserve; La France-Comte/le Doubs, the many charms
of France-Comte; De la Marne a La Saône; La Champagne et la Vallee de la Marne, a prestigious
“bubbly” circuit; Les Ardennes, green heart of France; L’Alsace, for the gourmet; Mecklenburg,
green countryside and beautiful waterways.
Nicols Sedan series
Exclusive to Nicols, this series is a concept unequalled in the field of pleasure boating.
The success lies in the superb saloon with its panoramic view, a vast sliding door
to the rear of the saloon which leads to an enjoyable sedan terrace, with its overhead
sun canopy under which you can enjoy your mid-day meals. The captain is not isolated
at the helm so the crew are all together.
Rates
Nicols 1170 from 3720.00 low season.
Nicols duo estivale series
The new range of “estivale” boats offer a perfect compromise between the existing Sedan
and Grand Comfort series. The large aft terrace is on the same deck level as the lounge area.
The galley area conserves a high standard of equipment for a 2/4-berth boat, whilst the forward
cabin and shower room are spacious and comfortable. Outdoor life has not been left aside,
a stairway moulded into the hull enables access to the flying bridge, and the bridge controls
folds away for maximum comfort. Finally, the height of the refinement, the aft terrace has a sun
awning, a saloon table with chairs, a shower and bathing ladder for those tempted by a swim!

Duo Estivale from 2682.00 low season.
Nicols grand Confort series
Latest concept from our boatyard, the Nicols grand confort provides comfortable
and spacious cabins (headroom below deck around two metres). Each cabin has its own
bathroom/WC. Easy and safe access to the fore terrace (the gangway is moulded into
the hull deck). Aft steps lead to the roof solarium. Privacy is respected offering maximum
comfort for crews of two, three or four members depending upon the type of boat chosen.
