This class is is roughly the first half of the Basic Training Class but is
geared toward the capabilities of the Jeep Wrangler)
This class is a streamlined version of the basic Training Class and
teaches the in and outs of 4 wheeling, from driving skills to safety
tips, from vehicle operation to responsible use of our public lands.
You will learn how to avoid getting stuck , basic backcountry
navigation so you can always get home safely. We cover what
equipment is available (and the best value) should you choose to go
to the next level with your Jeep. But the most important element we
can give you is confidence in your skills and confidence in the
capabilities of you 4x4 vehicle. You will be amazed at what you and
your vehicle can achieve off road! Most of all, this class is FUN!
Rock crawling on black diamond trails requires a great rig
and excellent driving skills. A rig needs maximum traction.
Of course tires are key, but keeping the tire contact patches
on the trail surface, all four of them, improves traction and
vehicle stability. To maximize the work the tires can do requires a suspension system that is very nimble. With optimum springs, shocks,

Our latest addition to the Currie Project 44 GrizzlyCon JK came
about after the 4" lift and 37" tires. If you are vertically challenged, getting into a lifted Jeep
presents a significant challenge.

Retractable Rockguard Steps.
While not billed as a true rock
slider, our test indicates that this
is actually a pretty tough product,
have taken a couple hard hits on
black diamond trail with no ill effects. The installation was actually
easily accomplished by on person
in about three hours, including removing the old rock sliders. The rotation of the
step is simple, and it locks in place. A simple release lever allows the step to
rotate back into the up position automatically with two small high pressure gas
shocks. With the step rotated to the down position, 9" is gained. The door sill on
our test JK is 29.5 inches above ground. With the step rotated down, the top of

The first official event on
the GrizzlyCon Trail occurred in September,
2014. Ten Jeeps participated in the event organized by All J Products'
Quinn Thomas and Jeep
4x4 School's Don Alexander. Companies and clubs
include Currie Enterprises,
Rubicon Tested, Bear Valley 4x4 Club and the Waywegoes 4x4 Club. The day
event covered over 50 miles
on trails with 25 miles of
hardcore black diamond trails.
