2011-2012 Annual Report Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Foundation Letter from the Executive Director Dear Friends of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, Simply put, the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Foundation is responsible for promoting three things: Philanthropy. Community. Legacy. It is an honor to report the SSMO Foundation’s fundraising efforts for the 2011-2012 fiscal year, which ended June 30. Together, our “SSMO family” generously supported the Sisters, Maryville Nursing Home and Valley Catholic School to the tune of $1,919,000. What an enormous gift to the Sisters as they celebrated 125 years of compassionate, joyful service through their sponsored ministries of education, health care and community outreach. It is through the steadfast leadership, dedication and commitment of the Sisters, our Board Directors, alumni/ae, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, friends and volunteers that we owe this accomplishment. Everyone’s combined efforts have helped achieve this year’s success, and for that we are extremely grateful. Your philanthropy makes our community stronger and helps us sustain the living legacy of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation managed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is dedicated to building community and financial and support for Valley Catholic School, Maryville Nursing Home and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon through relationship-building, philanthropy and stewardship.
