painted collections feature 100% Top Grain Argentinean
cowhide, super soft leather padded backings fitted with genuine
brass and stainless steel hardware.
These unique handcrafted collars are built to last and offer
buck stitching, two-tone finishes, basket tooling, rawhide
weaving, original Inlay work, hair-on leather, metal sunspots and
so much more. Not to mention that just the right amount of oil is
used in the production to make the leather durable and supple.

• Martingale collars are a great tool to help train your
dog. They are also great to use as a day-to-day collar
for walking your dog. As many trainers use Martingale
collars, various methods and techniques exist. We
recommend that you seek the advice of several trainers
to determine which method of training works best for
you and your dog.
• Please note Angel Rio Martingale collars are measured
from leather tip to leather tip (not including chain links).
• You will find 2 measurements:
• The collar completely fastened/ tightened (minimum
circumference: end loops touching), and
• The collar fully extended (maximum circumference:
chain links stretched out fully).
• (A) If you want the collar to adjust exactly at the rings,
select 1 size down from your dog’s neck size. Example:
If your dog’s neck measures 20”, select the 18” Rio
Martingale collar
• (B) If you want the collar to squeeze the dog’s neck
when pulled, select 2 - 3 sizes down from your dog’s
neck size.
Example: If your dog’s neck measures 20”, select the
16” or 18” Rio Martingale collar
In order to get the correct fit for your pet, please
follow these steps (tools required: measuring tape
or string and ruler)

* Please note, this size chart is meant to give a general idea of the collar size in relation to certain
breeds; because each dog is unique, please measure your dog's neck for a perfect fit.
(excluding Martingale style dog collars)
• Our dog collars are measured from leather tip to leather
tip (not including the buckle)
• Measure around the midpoint/center of your
dog’s neck
• For best results, choose the collar which falls
approximately in the middle of the neck size range.
Example: If your dog’s neck measures 18”, a 22” collar
would work best since it will fit any neck size between
16.5”- 20”. This will allow for some room should the dog
lose or gain weight and will be buckled around the
middle hole.
*Always allow enough room to slide 2 fingers between the
collar and your dog’s neck
