WELCOME
An area well-known for its unique blend of distinctive cultures, its
unforgettable cuisine, and its endless recreational opportunities,
the Capital Region is home to a diverse economy which includes
manufacturing, software development, arts, and more.
[T]
he nine-parish Baton Rouge Area is
the Creative Capital of the South. We are a community that
celebrates innovation, research and development,
entrepreneurship, arts, and culture.
The Capital Region can easily be defined by its unique areas,
from its urban and more modernized downtown area with
museums, restaurants, history, culture, and amazing views
of the mighty Mississippi River, to its more casual and
laid-back, in-town area with several interesting historical
areas interspersed throughout, to the more suburban areas
which are thriving as the city continues to grow.

In-town options are a mix of modern, close-knit
communities and centrally-located, historical
neighborhoods, where residents enjoy top-rated
schools, shopping centers, and scores of restaurants.
