Foxborough Gardens accepts 'The Challenge'
At the end of September, a group of school leavers from the government funded initiative ‘The Challenge’
helped residents from Foxborough Gardens brighten up their estate with a selection of new plants.
‘The Challenge’ supports community engagement and social integration amongst young people. The team
of 10 youngsters from the local area had a budget of £150 to use for the community project based in
Foxborough Gardens, which they spent on buying plants and perennials. Residents from Foxborough
Gardens had asked for colourful flowers for the raised beds and plants that would climb up around the
gazebo in their playground area.
The day brought residents of all ages together to work with the team of young people, supported by staff
from Pinnacle PSG. The residents got stuck in with weeding and digging the area before helping to
carefully plant a selection of brightly coloured flowers.
Cat Holland, Chair of the Foxborough Gardens TRA said of the day: “The flowers are lovely and make the
area look really homely. We wouldn’t have been able to do all of this on our own so thank you to ‘The
Challenge’ team for all their hard work. They can come back any time!”

Make Rent Your Priority This Christmas!
During the months of November and December last year around 30 households were referred to
court for Possession Orders as a result of rent arrears.
Our aim and ethos is not to evict tenants but to help them sustain and maintain their tenancy.
However, where a tenant consistently withholds rent payments for no reason other than to do so,
we will take every necessary action to repossess the property.

The Brockley Bugle is a newsletter delivered four times
a year to the 1838 homes managed by the Regenter
Brockley PFI.
AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR MY GARDEN?
YES! Your tenancy agreement states that you are
responsible for keeping your home in reasonable
condition. This includes maintaining any outbuilding,
yard or garden, including fences and gates. You must
make sure any outbuilding, yard or garden is kept
clean, tidy and free from rubbish. You must look
after the garden and prevent any trees, bushes,
hedges or grass from overgrowing. (see section 2.5
of your tenancy).
Failure to keep your garden clean and tidy is a breach of
your tenancy and will result in further action being taken.
If you would like to ask any questions or need advice on
your garden, please contact your Housing Manager (see
page 4 for a full list of “Who to Call”).

GET INVOLVED
COMMUNITY FUN DAY
On Saturday 24 August, Regenter Brockley residents
enjoyed a Community Fun Day coordinated by Pinnacle
PSG. Despite the pouring rain, residents came along to
St. Andrews Centre where the event was held and made
the most of indoor activities including a bouncy castle,
giant games, bingo, a live DJ and arts and crafts. A free
BBQ serving jerk chicken, burgers and vegetarian
sausages went down well and survived the weather
under a gazebo, along with dessert in the form of an icecream van!
Residents were invited to complete a satisfaction survey
and entered in to a prize draw to win a £50 Asda
voucher. Pinnacle PSG housing staff were on hand to
answer questions from residents along with the estate
management team showing younger residents how to
grow cress. Rydon supported the event with a stall
taking feedback from residents and handing out goodie
bags.
RESIDENTS’ CONFERENCE
On Wednesday 16 October, Pinnacle PSG residents
from across the whole of London came together for a 1
-day conference at the Kia Oval Cricket Ground. This
annual event is an opportunity for Pinnacle PSG
residents to come together and share ideas and views
on important housing issues and their communities. It’s
also a way for Pinnacle PSG to say a big “thank you” to
residents who give up their time all year round to make
their communities a better place to live. 11 Regenter
Brockley residents attended and enjoyed workshops,
key speakers, lunch and a whole range of refreshments
throughout the day with the world famous cricket ground
as a backdrop!
Resident and Vice-Chair of the Regenter Brockley Board
Bryan Pope said about the day “The venue was brilliant!
It was good to hear from Neil Eusdon the Managing
Director of Pinnacle PSG about his experience growing
up on an estate in London. Quality events like this make
me feel valued and respected as a resident.”
Local Councillor, Carl Handley, came along to the event
to run his “Drop-In Saturday Surgery” and took the
opportunity to meet with local residents and staff from
Pinnacle PSG. Katie French, Leasehold Assistant from
Pinnacle PSG, who helped on the day said
“Unfortunately you can’t control the weather but
everyone I spoke to enjoyed the food, games and
activities! It’s always nice to meet with residents at an
event where everyone is together having fun!”

CONGRATULATIONS...
...to Regenter Brockley resident, Jane Nampala from
Erica House who chose a £50 Asda voucher when her
resident satisfaction survey was drawn at the
Community Fun Day. Jane was thrilled when she won
saying “Thank you very much to Pinnacle PSG for
coordinating the fun day – we’ve loved every minute!
The BBQ was great and there were lots of activities for
the kids. We’re looking forward to coming again next
