“I have come that they might have life, and that they might
have it more abundantly.”
This is an education where faith and excellence meet. At Landmark Christian School,
- abundant opportunities, rigorous academics and Christian values combine to create an
exceptionally well-rounded educational experience. Ours is a thorough education – chapter and
verse – with a scholarly emphasis, a Christ-centered worldview, and a sense that, with God at
the center, anything is possible. Come share in a genuine love of the Lord and learning.
Landmark provides an uncommon education with uncommon results.
Come share in the joy and abundance of Landmark.

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Teaching from a distinctively Christ-centered worldview and believing the Bible to be
the foundation upon which all education rests, a Landmark education prepares students
for college and for life. Academics at Landmark are rigorous, challenging our students to
develop a passion for excellence and helping them to become the confident scholars and
ethical leaders God created them to be.
A Superior Education
Landmark is nationally recognized
for its excellence. Our students
consistently outperform local and
state school averages on standardized
test scores. One hundred percent of
our graduates matriculate college.
And they earn scholarships at levels
few schools – anywhere – can match.
Prepared for College
Landmark provides a comprehensive college
preparatory program including 14 Advanced
Placement (AP) and 12 honors courses across
a variety of disciplines. In addition, six dual
enrollment classes are offered – courses that
are uniquely taught on the Landmark campus
within the school day, enabling students to
simultaneously earn college and high school
credit hours.
High-Level Learning
This is a curriculum distinguished
by excellence. Our elementary
students successfully compete in
regional and national academic
competitions such as Math
Olympics, spelling bees, and a
national writing contest. In middle
school, our students engage in
research-based STEM courses such
as Introduction to Engineering.
Our high school students take
college-level courses, producing
National Merit Scholarship
Finalists and AP National Scholars.
The rigor and the outstanding
achievements are unparalleled.

Impacting the World
“As an attorney specializing in intellectual property, I appreciate the exceptional academic
preparation I received at Landmark, as well as the sound biblical instruction that has
strengthened my relationship with Christ and helped me to effectively communicate with
those who hold differing worldviews.”
Preston Heard ’02, Georgia Institute of Technology, American University Washington College
of Law, Associate, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP, Atlanta, GA
Our innovative foreign language
lab immerses students in foreign
language study and culture,
accelerating their listening
and speaking skills through
individualized instruction and
cutting-edge technology.
Ours is an active exploration of
science at Landmark. Elementary
and middle school science labs
are launching pads to discovery.
High school students immerse
in scientific explorations from
biology, chemistry, and physics to
astronomy, forensic science, and
marine biology.
Learning is active and hands-on
at Landmark. History students
engage in debates. Sports medicine
students work the sidelines at
athletic events. Spanish students
are immersed in Spanish culture.
Marine biology students swim
with sharks at the Georgia
Aquarium. Literature students
write blogs. Across the campus,
exploratory learning is encouraged
and modeled.

“Landmark prepared me well for the academic rigors of my pre-med studies.
Also, the discipline of good study habits and a strong work ethic provided a solid

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers of mine, you did for me.”
In April of 1996, Landmark students began serving others, not just locally but globally.
They have fed children in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya; tended to orphans in Tanzania;
shared Jesus in a prison; witnessed to students in Amman, Jordan; built schools and
churches in Belize and Honduras, and built homes in Mexico. Our students are
impacting the world for Christ – helping to change lives and, in the process, being
changed themselves.
Serving in Honduras
Each year, high school students
travel to Honduras for a special
mission trip. Equipped with
school supplies provided by our
elementary school students and with
prayers from our entire Landmark
community, they travel high into
the rugged mountains of Honduras
to serve and witness to the native
Tolupan Indians.
Digging Deep
After participating in a mission trip, a high
school student felt led to provide a well for a
remote Honduran village. Entirely through
her efforts, a tiny village that previously had
no water now draws clean water from the well
each day.
Hearts for Service
Landmark is intentional in building
servant leaders. Our students go
into the world as the hands and feet
of Christ in many different ways.
For example, they serve locally,
providing Thanksgiving meals and
Christmas stockings for the needy
during the holiday season. They
serve regionally, volunteering at
an inner city homeless shelter and
assisting in Special Olympics. And
they serve globally, supporting
orphanages in Russia and Guyana
as well as mission trips abroad.
“Seeing the Honduran people walk eight hours for medical care made me appreciate all that we
have here in America. Many of the villagers were hungry and clean water was scarce. This trip
really changed my priorities.”

Impacting the World
“The foundation of Bible teaching and encouragement I received at Landmark
equipped me for my role as a youth pastor. Now, I am challenging students to
become more passionate and dependent upon Jesus for their daily lives”
Lance Batiste ’98, Morehouse College, Youth Pastor, New City Church, Fairburn/
Peachtree City, GA
At Landmark, we seek to build
our students up, helping them
realize just how special they are.
Each child is a unique creation of
God, and we want each student to
see himself or herself in that light.
Landmark teachers care deeply
about their students. They serve as
caring mentors who pray for their
students and are invested in their
lives and in their success.
This is a smaller, more intimate,
more personalized school
environment – one highly
conducive to learning. The average
class size for our Fairburn campus
is 17; the average for our Peachtree
City campus is 12.

Impacting the World
“Though I certainly felt prepared academically for college and now for my Ph.D.

academics. My teachers invested in my life, and with their support, I found real
faith in Christ.”

The Arts are a priority at Landmark. Our students are exposed to both the visual and
performing arts from elementary school through high school. Landmark student-artists
have performed nationally and internationally in countries like Austria and Italy.
Today, Landmark students and graduates are succeeding in major films, on recording
labels, in art exhibits, and in band and praise teams across the nation.
The Art of Participation
The visual arts begin early in the
elementary years, as students are
exposed to famous artists and
create their own works with a wide
range of materials and methods. In
middle school, students continue
to learn about art history and are
introduced to a variety of mediums.
High school students are offered
elective classes in drawing, painting,
sculpture, and digital photography,
as well as Advanced Placement Art.
Bravo!
Beginning in the elementary grades, students
are given the opportunity to audition for
and participate in the Landmark talent show.
Middle and high school students have the
opportunity to take theatre and perform in
several major productions.
A Program of Note
Beginning in K4, students learn
music fundamentals such as
rhythm, melody, harmony, tone
color, form, and expression. All
middle school students participate
in a music performance class with
the opportunity to audition for
honors chorus in eighth grade,
and all have the opportunity to
participate in Band or Chorus. In
high school, students use their Godgiven talents in our award-winning
Women’s Ensemble, Chorale,
Chamber Singers, and Band.
Landmark fine arts performers and individuals compete in local, state, national, and
international competitions, and consistently receive superior ratings and awards. Landmark
graduates have been competitively awarded collegiate scholarships in the arts.

ARTS
”I love theatre and performing
arts. My role as a cast member
of the Landmark musical,
Les Miserables, allowed me
to showcase my talent and
provided great memories.”
– Middle school student
Impacting the World
Participating in many extracurricular activities both athletically and in the arts, Landmark
afforded opportunities to develop and discover talents that might otherwise have remained
dormant. This foundation served me well in determining my career path and reaching my
goal of attaining a liberal arts degree from the University of Georgia.
Scott Haney ’93, University of Georgia, Creative Director, Turner Sports Division,
Turner Broadcasting, Atlanta GA
Athletics are an important part
of life at Landmark, and our
priorities are clear. First and
foremost, we want our athletes
to grow in Christian character.
Secondly, we want them to become
relentless competitors – on the field
and in the classroom. Thirdly, we
strive for excellence in technique
and fundamentals. And finally,
want them to understand the price
that must be paid, the effort that
must be expended, to win. These
are our priorities, as we seek to
build winners on the field and off.
In addition to middle school, junior varsity, and
varsity sports teams, Landmark fields a competitive
and fundamentals-based elementary recreational
league in football, cheerleading, and basketball.
Chap
At Landmark, there are many
opportunities to participate on

SUCCESS
Impacting the World
“Landmark not only prepared me for the academic rigor that I encountered at Vanderbilt,
but it equipped me to be the leader that I am today. They took us seriously as leaders, and as
a result, we took ourselves seriously. I would not have had the courage or the competence to
found CARE for AIDS without the foundation that Landmark laid in my life.”

“I am teaching Middle School Boys PE and Bible. I have the best job in America. I play games
all day and coach football and track in the afternoons.
“Landmark helped to challenge me to become the man God created me to be. The Founding
Father of Landmark, Bill Thorn, had a profound influence on my life, and I am here to pay it
forward. I attempt to teach the same principles and lessons that were taught to me. I try to raise
my family according to the Biblical principles that I learned in part at Landmark.”

IMPACT
&
MISSION
“There has never been another school formed the way Landmark began. The scoffers said you must begin with the lower grades. Instead, we
began with the high school because that was what was needed. They said you must have financial support. We did. We depended on God to
supply all of our needs, and He has. They said you won’t last a year, but we will soon celebrate 30 years – to God be the glory! Landmark
Christian School will continue to educate young people as long as…the focus is on Him, and we set ourselves apart from the world system,
without wavering away from God’s word, without compromising His truth.”
—Coach Bill Thorn - Founding Father and Legendary Track Coach of
Landmark Christian School. 34 state titles, 13 state runner-ups, 45 region titles.
