VDP Cancun News Winter 2011 Phase I Grand Opening W e are so pleased and excited to announce the Grand Opening of Phase I of the beautiful new Villa del Palmar Cancun resort! What an amazing way to ring in the New Year! Here are just a few of the highlights of this gorgeous new property: Food & Beverage – The new “Tiki Beach Bar” is located on the beach in front of the Activities Palapa. The Sushi Lounge on the Terrace is also open. La Casona is our fine dining restaurant and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Zamá restaurant will specialize in Mayan Mexican Fusion cuisine. Connectivity – All rooms have Satellite TV and are wired for Internet. The Palmita market will also have 2 computers connected to the Internet. Contents Free Shuttle Service – For those who want to try out Cancun’s amazing shopping and nightlife, a free shuttle is offered from the Resort to Cancún Centro and the Las Americas Shopping Plaza, departing from the lobby every hour on the hour. And for those that wish to go and explore gorgeous Isla Mujeres, we are just a short walk to the Ferry that will take you to this magical island only 20 minutes across the bay. Palapa, Pool and Beach Chair Reservation Program – We are introducing a new program to take the frustration out of having to “save” your chairs. At check-in you will receive a Reservation Card that you will turn in to the Towel Palapa to receive your towels. Here you can look at a map of the pool and beach areas and reserve a location for the day or week. All beach beds, chairs and palapas will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis, and will be monitored by the pool butlers. Another perk – our pool butlers and servers will be offering poolside food and beverage service that you can charge to your room. Let us lift a finger so you don’t have to! Activities Program – Villa del Palmar Cancún will be offering an exciting selection of activities: Relaxing – Stretching, Yoga, Bingo, Piñata Making, Handicrafts, Kite Making Active – Shopping Tour, Beach and Pool Volleyball, Kayaking, Snorkeling, Aqua Aerobics Yummy! – Ceviche Lessons, Margarita Lessons Children’s Program – Details coming 24-Hour Security – Security is taken very seriously at Villa del Palmar Cancún. The Eagle’s Wings Foundation is a non-profit organization started by a long-time Villa del Palmar owner Jim McCarthy. The Foundation’s mission is to provide assistance to charitable groups in the cities and neighboring areas around the Villa Group resort cities.
