Travel Dizengoff Avenue Hotel Discover the cool sites of Tel Aviv. BY SIVAN AZULAY What do you get if you mix Tel Aviv’s famous sites with black & white interior design, amazing chili lemonade, and stunning views of our beloved city’s skyline? A perfect urban getaway. Last week, I was lucky enough to visit the Dizengoff Avenue Hotel in the heart of Tel Aviv. I knew I had arrived when I walked down a corridor of plants into a chic, cozy lobby. Although the hotel is located on a noisy street, it’s relatively quiet, so you won’t be kept awake all night with late night bar goers. Unless you’re one of them, which is also fine. There are tons of bars, clubs and restaurants to choose from. Tel Aviv, baby! This is where the magic happens. (PR) Dictionary Interior אינטיריֹור פנים Stunning סטנינג ָ מדהימים Arrived ָארָיבד הגעתי The vibe Don’t be fooled by the hotel’s concrete exterior – like all good things, the outside of this new hotel Camouraged the inside. Each one of the rooms’ (total of 29) interior design is inspired by a different popular local site. From Hayarkon Park to Jaffa Promenade and Habima Square, Dizengoff Avenue Hotel promises to provide you with the ultimate Tel Aviv experience. By the way, there’s a slight chance you’ll remember the name of the room rather than its number. Don’t worry, it’s part of the fun. Wow factor Besides the chili lemonade set next to the reception area, every evening the guests of the hotel are invited to the lobby to sip some wine (for free!!), in order to mingle. Is that cool, or what? You get to meet a lot of tourists and locals at the same time. The food Well, though there is no dining room, or room service, the hotel gives guests a coupon for breakfast at the cafes in the area. We tried the Fresh Kitchen Cafe, which was more than enough – a huge good, healthy Israeli breakfast. What will I be instagramming? The city, of course. If you’re not local, prepare to have your cellphone on hand at all times. Why should you book a room? If all of the above is not enough, I don’t know what is. Great location? Check. Beautiful, cozy rooms? Check. An optional small kitchen to make your own food? Check. Try beating that.
