The blue Jeans is very rampant in many countries, for example in Germany, USA and other countries. There are many different brands, for example Levi’s, Mustang, ONLY, Diesel, Replay and more. Today you can find denim in different things: trousers, bags, dresses, jackets, skirts... But now something about the story of the jeans! This story goes back to the 16th century. In the town Nimes the people made a cloth with the name “Serge de Nimes”, “Denim” today. Later - in the year 1853 – Levis Strauss went to San Francisco and made the first jeans, but this jeans was made of sail cloth* for the gold diggers in this time. At a later date he used the idea from Jacob Davis and took staking* for the jeans. At the same time Strauss made trousers also out of blue Denim. In the year 1872 the jeans got her first staking like today. Later the Jeans was only out off denim and Levis Strauss used now the blue colorant, so the Jeans got her name “Blue Jeans”. In this time the Jeans was only a dungarees*! In the Second World War the soldiers brought the Jeans to Europe. The Jeans was first produced in Europe in the year 1948 in Germany from a German company. But the trousers were only for men’s. Initial in the year 1953 the brand Mustang made the first jeans for women. The first jeans was made of sail cloth Today you can find the Jeans in different design, colours and lengths*. You can wear long jeans in winter and hotpants in the summer. You can buy skinny jeans*, impact-jeans*, boyfriendjeans and more. *sail cloth = Segelstoff *staking = Nieten (an Hosent.) *dungarees= Arbeitshosen *lengths = Längen *impact-J. = Schlagjeans (s.
