Intelligent video detection system
System description
VideoGuard system consists of cameras, a video detection server
and a surveillance site with a PC. The cameras monitor a precisely
delimited area from above. The scanned data is transmitted, collected
and evaluated in the video detection server and the output is then
supplied to the integration security (MrGuard) at the surveillance site.
The system displays events and the exact point of intrusion.
It also provides live images from surveillance cameras connected to
the local camera system and records intrusion. Outputs of the related
devices providing information about their operational status are
integrated for proper evaluation of alarm statuses. For example, the
condition of a conductor rail in a subway tunnel can be monitored.
Integrated user security interface MrGuard
If a person is detected and the rail is energised, the situation is
assessed as an alarm. The information acquired in this way after an
intrusion in the forbidden zone is essential for immediate and
appropriate response of the operators of the security control room.
The heart of the system is the detection server processing visual
signals from infra-red (IR) and thermal cameras using unique
algorithms. The surveillance cameras are used to monitor the
intruded area.
VideoGuard adapts to day and night operation. During the day, entry
of any persons in the forbidden zone is undesirable. At night,
authorised persons may enter the delimited areas to perform repairs
and inspections, for instance.
MrGuard integration system is used to supervise the secured area.
There are synoptic maps of the secured areas in the MrGuard system,
showing potential alarms interactively and facilitating immediate
orientation in the area of an alarm.
MrGuard is also connected to the local camera that it can contact in
case of an alarm and display both live pictures from the cameras in
the secured area showing current situation and the video loops
showing the situation at the time of an incident.
