We want to congratulate 3rd grade student, Jalee
Livingston! She was named the National County
Government Week essay contest winner for the
AIC’s East Central District. She received $100 for
winning the contest. The theme of the contest was
“Counties Moving America Forward: The Keys are
Transportation and Infrastructure.” Congratulations,
Jalee! We are all proud of you!
As we prepare for the
arrival of our newly
adopted social studies
textbooks, we will be
clearing out some older
textbooks and materials.
These materials will be
available in the DES gym
through Friday, June 5, for
anyone who is interested.
We thank every family
member who has
volunteered to help with
this year’s field day. K-2
volunteers should plan to
arrive at 8:30, and 3-5
volunteers should arrive
at 12:30. We’ll see you on
Wednesday, May 27th!
