Inaugural Ceremony (100 words) with picture
Learners Engagement Activity -2015 inaugurated at 10.00 am on 07th December at NES Ratnam College of
Arts, Science & Commerce, Bhandup, Mumbai a Study Centre of NIOS (AI No. 110039) in the presence of
Guest, Coordinators, Learners and NIOS staff.
84 Learners and 26 Coordinators/Tutors from 13 AIs from the district of Mumbai and Thane.
The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Rina Saha, Principal, NES Ratnam College of Arts, Science &
Commerce, Bhandup, Mumbai. This is an AI ( 110039) of NIOS. The inauguration function was addressed by
Sh U Raja Reddy, Regional Director. Sh. Reddy spoke in detail about the background of LEA. Yoga was
demonstrated to all the Learners. The gathering watched the broadcast through A-View also
Sh U Raja Reddy, Regional Director informed the Learners and Coordinators about the guidelines for the 4
Activities of the day i.e. Survey, Role Play, Poster Making and Creative Writing. NIOS song was played to set
the mood of participants.

Activity 2 Role Play (100 words) with picture
In the Role Play Activity 19 Learners form 8 AIs participated. The Judges interacted with the participants
and asked about the Life Skills they have exhibited and the message of their Role Play
The team came duly prepared and there were healthy competition. The !st and 2nd Prize winner team
exhibited their Role Play before the Chief Guest.

15 Learners participated in the Activity Creative Writing. The Creative Writing
Activity took place in a room. The Judges explained the Guidelines and the Theme for the Creative Writing
