DONORS ASSIST DEPARTMENT
From Dr. Elliot Androphy, Kampen-Norins Chair of Dermatology
IU Dermatology gratefully acknowledges gifts to the Department’s Gift and Research
Fund, the Victor C. Hackney M.D. Lab Fund, the Norins Professorship in Dermatology, and the newly created Dermatology Resident Education Fund.
The Department endeavors to continue our tradition of providing premier resident education. The faculty devotes much time and effort preparing lectures several mornings
per week and organizes bimonthly grand rounds that are so important for resident education. As the economics of medicine changes, it becomes more difficult and expensive
to conduct a top-notch resident training program.
To address this, we established the Dermatology Resident Education Fund to allow our
residents to take advantage of training opportunities that might not otherwise be possible. For example, this fund subsidizes registration fees, travel and housing for national
and regional educational events, printing of materials and posters, and hosting extramural speakers at our grand rounds.
