A jammed crusher can cost a fortune in both time and
money. Torque limiting couplings from Voith control the
torque and increase productivity.
Extremely high torque peaks can also arise, due to the dynamic behaviour of the crusher’s transmission. SafeSet torque
limiting coup­­lings from Voith prevent this risk.
SafeSet is installed on all direct driven CH880/895 Cone Crushers manufactured by the global company Sandvik. They
found it to be the most reliable torque limiter on the market.

Sandvik wanted to prevent possible driveline damage, caused by
uncrushable objects becoming stuck in the crushing chamber.
Solution
A complete new driveline with a flexible coupling to take the
misalignment is combined with a SafeSet SR-N 180. SafeSet
was selected as the most reliable torque limiter and is now
standard on Sandvik’s two largest cone crushers.
