THE CAMP LINK EXPERIENCE
Welcome to Camp Link 2016! A dynamic,
active, enriching, and fun-filled summer
lies ahead for your child. All Camp Link
programming is directly tied to Ohio
Academic Standards and is taught by
highly qualified, Camp Link instructors.
Camp Link provides a wide range of
activities that encourage your child to
pursue new interests, cultivate friendships,
and develop strengths-all with an emphasis
SUMMER CAMP LEADERSHIP
All Camp Link staff members understand
the importance of childhood development
and the role that caring leadership plays in
facilitating your child’s academic, social and
behavioral strengths. Camp Link instructors
approach their jobs responsibly and are
vested in each child’s success. If you have a
special request or an area of concern
regarding your child, please let us know.

Camp Link is held at Parkside and consists
of two separate and distinct summer camp
experiences. Children entering grades K-3
at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school
year will attended Elementary Camp Link.
Children entering grades 4-8 at the
beginning of the 2016-2017 school year
will attended Intermediate Camp Link.
With activities and curriculum
encompassing Film & Drama Club,
Science and Math Enrichment, Reading
and Technology, Field Trips, Gardening ,
Westlake Rec Swim Days, Planetarium
Programs, Sport and Fitness skills,
Creative Writing and Running Club ,Camp
Link provides endless opportunities to
enrich your child’s growth,
independence, and self-esteem.
REGISTRATION
Camp Link 2016 will begin on Monday,
June 13th and remain in session, each day,
from 7:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. , through
Wednesday, August 17th. Camp Link will
be closed on Monday, July 4th.
Children currently enrolled in the
Westlake City Schools or residing in
Westlake are eligible to attend Camp
Link 2016. Non-Residents enrolling in
Camp Link will be subject to the nonresident enrollment fee.
To enroll your child in Camp Link 2016,
please complete and return the following
forms: Camp Link 2016 Registration
Form, Emergency Medical Authorization
Form, and Field Trip Enrollment Form at
www.wlake.org/link .Completed forms
may be submitted online, via email at
[email protected] or r etur ned to
any Project Link Site School or the
Westlake Board of Education.
FIELD TRIPS
Please note that our Camp Link 2016 field
trip policies have changed. Camp Link
2016 field trips will be held each week on
Wednesdays and Thursdays. Both days will
be the same destination. If your child will
be participating in a weekly field trip, you
have a choice as to which day they will
attend. Due to overwhelming popularity,
Children cannot attended the same
scheduled field trip, on both days, in the
same week. All field trips must be
registered in advance, including payment of
fees and submission of parental consent
forms. Most field trips are limited to the
first 50 students registered.
On days that your child is attending a field
trip, please arrive no later than 15 minutes
prior to the scheduled departure time. We
ask that all children attending field trips
wear their Camp Link T– shirts on field trip
days. Camp Link will depart at the
scheduled time for all field trips.

Upon registration, an enrollment/activity
fee of $35/ resident student, $50/nonresident student, is required.
This fee is used to enrich daily curriculum.
There is a $70 activity fee cap for resident
families and $100 activity fee cap for nonresident families. Please consult the Camp
Link Parent/Student Handbook for
further detailed enrollment information.
FRIDAY WESTLAKE REC SWIM DAYS
Each Friday, Parkside Camp Link 2016
will travel to the Westlake Recreation
Center for swim day. Students entering
grades K-3 will depart at 11:30 A.M. and
return by 2:30 P.M. Students entering
grades 4-8 will depart at 11:50 A.M. and
return by 3:00 P.M. If your child will be
swimming, please complete the Swimmer
Aptitude Form. You can change your
child’s swim status, when skill-level
permits, at any time. All campers,
regardless of swim status, will travel to the
Westlake Rec center (weather permitting)
each Friday and non-swimmers will visit
the playground.
FEES
A fee of $4.00/hour will be charged for
your child to attend Camp Link 2016.
We suggest that Camp Link hours are
purchased in blocks of 40 hours. The
amount of time your child spends at
Camp Link is deducted from your
account balance. When your account
drops below a $20.00(5 hour) remaining
balance, an additional block of hours
must be purchased.
Payments
Payment must be submitted to process
your registration. You may include all fees
(tuition, activity, field trip, and enrichment
programs) for each student you are
enrolling on the same check/money order.
Payments may be submitted, online, with a
credit card, or at any Project Link Site or
the Westlake Board of Education.
