BISHOP EUSTACE PREPARATORY SCHOOL
Spring is here and I know you are all enjoying
the warmer weather! Although I love seeing the
flowers bloom and the weather warming up, it
reminds me that our Seniors will soon be leaving
us. The excitement in the air as the college and
university acceptances are celebrated is
overshadowed by the fact that they will be
graduating very soon. I wish them well but I will
miss them. On the other hand, I look forward to
the Class of 2018 coming in September!
Class Representative elections in mid-May will
determine the future leaders of our student body.
We will all be praying for good weather as our
annual Alumni/Parent Scholarship Golf
tournament takes place on 19 May 2014. Please
support this event, as all proceeds go directly to
our financial aid program. I hope to see many of
you there!
Toward the end of May, our Senior Promenade
will be held on campus and the much anticipated
Senior Prom will be held at The Collingswood
Ballroom. What a beautiful sight as our students
dress in gowns and tuxedos, looking very
elegant!

BLACK AND WHITE WEEK 2014
As a bookend to Spirit Week in the fall, Student Council sponsored Black and White Week from April 28 to
May 1, with many returning fun activities plus a new event.
Monday saw Eustace Quizzo at the four lunch periods, as teams answered Eustace trivia to win the coveted
“big cookie” prizes. Monday afternoon was the annual Student-Faculty Badminton Contest, with Mr. David
Moffa and Gina D’Antonio ’16 as the winners.
Tuesday was the “Find the Crusader” contest, won by the freshman class who found 42 Crusaders. After
school on Tuesday was our first Paper Airplane Contest, with challenges in appearance, flight distance, and
accuracy. Winners included Sean Loftus ’14, Praveen Vulimiri ’15, and Tim Lojak ’16, with special
mention to Matt Lewis ’16.
The heavy rains on Wednesday and resulting wet fields on Thursday unfortunately caused the school picnic,
carnival, Mr. Eustace contest, and Powder Puff football game to be postponed. Black and White Week Part II
will take place on May 15. At 1:00, we will have the school picnic and carnival. At 5:30 p.m. we will have
our Powder Puff game. At 7:00, we will hold the Mr. Bishop Eustace contest in the field house. Admission
for the event is $5.
Thank you to everyone who helped make these events a success, including the faculty who helped run the
events, the parents who donated prizes for the carnival, and the students who participated.
