eNews January 2010 KRAFT FOODS WORLD TRAVEL RETAIL STRENGTHENS ITS AMERICAS TEAM IN RUN-UP TO ORLANDO Kraft Foods World Travel Retail (KFWTR) will greet this year‘s Show in Orlando, Florida with a strengthened team and a powerful line-up of new products destined for the Americas region. Visitors to Booth 315 at the IAADFS Show, held at the Orlando World Centre Marriott from 21st until 24th February 2010, will be warmly welcomed by KFWTR‘s regional specialists, whose appointments reflect the growing importance of the Americas region to KFWTR‘s international development strategy. Taking on the role of Regional Manager Americas is Ivo Knuesel, an experienced member of the KFWTR management team, who is currently based in Zurich, Switzerland. He will be reported to by new Regional Business Development Manager for North America, Peter Flanigan, who will operate from Kraft Foods’ office in Tarrytown NY. Meanwhile, Mathis Dreher, a key player in the development of KFWTR‘s Americas business takes on the new role of Area Business Development Manager for Latin America. Dreher will relocate to Curitiba, Brazil in April, where he will set up a sub-regional office. Joining the Americas team in Orlando will be KFWTR Managing Director Andreas Fehr. Commenting on the new appointments, Fehr said, „I am delighted to welcome Ivo, Peter and Mathis to their new roles and wish them every success. These new positions have been created as part of our Travel Retail regionalisation strategy and reflect our further strengthening and focus on growth opportunities in the Americas region.“ Visitors to KFWTR’s Orlando Booth will have the opportunity to discover an exciting array of new KFWTR products. Offering thin and refined triangles of Toblerone Swiss milk chocolate, the new Toblerone Tobelle will be unveiled for the Americas region. This product is certain to broaden the appeal of Toblerone even further, and has already enjoyed a very successful international launch. Also set to launch in the Americas is the Toblerone Mix Pack, an attractive sharing bag featuring snack size formats of Fruit & Nut and Milk Toblerone. A great addition to the snacking and sharing segment, this new product successfully taps into the impulse-driven nature of the travel retail confectionery category.
