08 BIO COLOR RUN Monday 4th July (from 10.30 am) there is the BioColorRun! Know also as "the happiest 5km on the planet", it is a coloured run that promotes well‐being and happiness! In fact the goal is not to achieve the best time, but spend cheerfully your time and 5 km race where at each km you will be sprinkled from head to feet with natural colours. At the finish line an unforgettable party of music and colours will take place! PROMO ACTIVITY Sunday 3rd July and 10th July, appointment with the Promo Activity at 7.30 pm in Piazza Venezia! During the Promo Activity you will have all the information about excursions and routes to get to Venice and to explore the Cavallino‐Treporti lagoon, to play the sports which Union Lido and Cavallino Sport Center offers to their guests and on the events which will take place, during the week, in the different locations of our Resort. Our Animation team will be there to get in touch with our youngest Guests and to illustrate all the animation activities! WATER TRIAL COMPETITION Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July at the Dog Camp Beach the Water Trial competition will take place. It is approved by ENCI and reserved to the dogs breed of Portuguese origin cao de agua! JOY SINGER Monday 4th July, from 9.00 pm the “Joy Singer” Gospel Choir will be singing in Piazza Lido. The Venetian Gospel distinguishes itself by originality and its interpretations: the Afro‐American sound is the base and the inspiration of its repertoire, which ranges from traditional spirituals and gospels, to film soundtracks, and to some recent tracks, all reworked with original arrangements. GUIDED TOUR DOGE’S PALACE AND/OR S. MARK’S BASILICA Meeting point in front of the YEX office, under the clock tower in St. Mark’s Square. • Doge’s Palace tour: departure at 11.15am. The “Palazzo Ducale” was once the residence of the Doge and the seat of the Venetian Government. The guide will take you through its lavish chambers, which display masterpieces by Tintoretto, Titian, Veronese and Bellini, as well as through the narrow passageways towards the Bridge of Sighs and its adjoining prisons. • S. UNION LIDO SHUTTLE SERVICE New 2016: service available from 09:00 am to 11:00 pm The Resort’s internal transport service is provided by two vehicles, whose use is free of charge and gives every Guest the opportunity to comfortably reach all parts of Union Lido and, new from 2016, Camping Italy as well. In addition to making easier to get around inside the Campsite, the two vehicles provide a reduction in the circulation of automobiles, increasing safety on the streets. IMPORTANT: ‐The shuttle service can be accessed ONLY from the stops indicated by the signs (see map) ‐Children below 12 years of age can only use the service if accompanied by an adult. ‐The minimum travel time for each line is about 25 minutes. All three routes and their respective stops are depicted in the Welcome Notebook’s map, distinguished by different colors. There is always a lot to discover in Venice. Time there has come to a standstill and this makes the city magnificently different from all the others. Venice is unique in itself. If you decide to visit Venice by yourself, you can use the excellent bus‐boat public service. From 16.05 to 17.09 there will be also a special ATVO bus from Union Lido to Punta Sabbioni and back, every day except Sundays and festivities. The use of bikes or electric city rollers is only allowed to guests who are staying in remote parts of the campsite. In any case, it is only allowed for coming in and going out, using exclusively Via Bologna, Via Verona, Via Torino and Via Cavallino.
