THE CONVENTION EXPERIENCE:
You don’t have to be a Delta Chi to enjoy a Convention! Parents, significant others,
guests, Fraternity & Sorority Life Advisors, and general friends of our Fraternity will
have a host of activities planned while we discuss Delta Chi Law and elect our
Executive Committee.
This packet will be the complete guide on how our guests can best navigate the
Convention schedule. You will note that there are select events in which you are
welcome to attend with your spouse/partner. Outside of those events we have
provided you with opportunities to explore Louisville and all the great attractions it
has to offer. From a baseball game, to excellent culinary experiences, to museums
and the spa, we are sure you will have a great time!
We understand the scarifies that our members make in order to attend a
Convention, so we want to ensure that both families and friends are ale to share in
this great experience at an affordable price. And for those families who have active
alumni volunteers, we want to thank you for enduring those demands that allow
your spouse/partner to continue to serve his Fraternity.
We invite you to take your time at Convention to relax, treat yourself, and meet
other spouses/partners in attendance; after all, you deserve this!
We look forward to having you join us in Louisville for Delta Chi’s 60th International
Convention! Please contact a Delta Chi staff member if you have any questions or
need any assistance.
Fraternally,
Zach Stroth

relationship, the V Foundation & Delta Chi staff have created a streamlined event for
chapters to host: the VK. The VK is a 5K run/walk to raise funds for the V Foundation. To

THINGS TO DO:
While your spouse/partner will be in Convention activities throughout the week, this
is the perfect opportunity to go out and explore the great things that Louisville has
to offer our Convention. We will be located in the heart of downtown, saturated
with restaurants, sightseeing opportunities, and many other activities.
Kentucky Derby: While we may not be holding convention during the Kentucky Derby,
there are still great opportunities to experience Churchill Downs and see the derby
history. The Kentucky Derby Museum, which sits on the front steps of historic Churchill
Downs, is a very visible part of our community as one of Louisville’s premiere attractions.
Graciously welcoming over 210,000 guests through the doors each year and giving
them a first hand look at the event for which Louisville, Kentucky is known worldwide.
The Museum aims to provide a lasting impression of tradition, hospitality and pride to our
many visitors.
Bourbon Country: has a new capital: bourbon city. Well, maybe not so new. Before
Prohibition, downtown Louisville was the heartbeat of the bourbon industry, with Whiskey
Row home to some 50 distilleries and whiskey-related business. Until recently, hitting the
restaurants and bars on the Urban Bourbon Trail was as close as you could get to the
pulse of Bourbon Country in Louisville. But now, Bourbon is back where it belongs, right in
the heart of downtown Louisville where there is now plenty to love for the bourbon
enthusiast. The city’s first bourbon tourist attraction, the Evan Williams Bourbon
Experience, will immerse you in the native spirit.
Louisville Slugger Museum: The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory showcases the
history of the Louisville Slugger brand of baseball bats made by Hillerich & Bradsby, and
of baseball in general. Inside the 16,000 square feet of exhibit and archive space,
production of the bats is presented, along with historical examples of bats. The museum
features a mix of hands-on exhibits and memorabilia. Visitors can hold a bat used in an
actual game from legends like Mickey Mantle, David Ortiz, Cal Ripken Jr., and more.
You can stand behind home plate and experience what it feels like to have a 90 mile
per hour fast ball flying at you. The building also serves as their corporate headquarters
and a production facility.
Muhammad Ali Center: Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee while enjoying this
Louisville attraction. The Muhammad Ali Center is a multicultural center with an awardwinning museum dedicated to the life of Muhammad Ali. The Center museum captures
the inspiration derived from the story of Muhammad Ali’s incredible life and the six core
principles that have fueled his journey.

attractions. Visit all six and save almost 50% off regular admission prices.

"Whiskey Row," the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience features an artisanal distillery,
guided tours, educational Bourbon tastings, and more! Celebrating the legacy of
Evan Williams, Kentucky's first commercial distiller, this immersive experience brings to
life the history and tradition of Kentucky's native spirit.
Kentucky Museum of Art & Craft: The Museum explores the relationship between art
and craft by identifying art as big ideas and craft as the intersection between
process, materials and labor. KMAC’s goal is to educate and inspire while promoting
a better understanding of art and craft through exhibitions, collaborations, outreach
and the permanent collection.
Kentucky Science Center: Come and discover a place where people of all ages are
encouraged to DO SCIENCE in engaging, educational, and entertaining ways to
inspire a lifetime of learning!

people in Kentucky are most proud of, bringing history to life for visitors through
exhibits, artifacts and live performances every day. The Frazier is proud to present
multiple live performances every day by our talented staff of costumed actors
known as “teaching artists”. The experience brings visitors face to face with some of
the people and events that changed the world!
