Lafferty's “Complete Balanced System” Approach to Compressed
Air Operated Systems
All Lafferty products are designed with specific applications in mind, resulting in the careful selection of materials and
components to match the equipment’s intended use, in a cost-effective manner.
In facilities, or areas within a facility, where plumbed water pressure is unavailable, unreliable or lower than the 35 psi
required for venturi foamers and sprayers, an alternative method for applying foam and sanitizer is required.
This “Complete Balanced System Approach” is the basis for offering our compressed air operated foamer and sprayer
systems in both “RTU Chemical Solution” and “Water Driven Venturi” configurations, along with a choice of three air operated double diaphragm pumps and the pump-free option of tank foamers and sprayers.
The choice of system will depend on the intended application and how heavily the system is likely to be used.

Lafferty Compressed Air Operated Systems
Freedom Foamers and Sprayers feature a Yamada ¼" Air Pump.
The Yamada’s all-bolted design uses a shortened-stroke technology and has a “true” non-lubricated air valve which
helps to extend pump life. With no rotors, gears or pistons – that wear over time – pumping efficiency remains constant.
Features include:
• Teflon diaphragm only
• Uses “static” O-ring technology to create seals
• Has only two dynamic seals
• Mechanical construction for ease of maintenance and repair
• Pump can be rebuilt
Freedom XV & HV Foamers feature a Sandpiper ½" Air Pump.
This pump provides the extra volume required for quick foam coverage of large areas.

• Santoprene diaphragm
• Teflon diaphragm upgrade available
• All-bolted design
• Pump can be rebuilt
Liberty Foamers and Sprayers feature a lighter duty Flojet ¼" Air Pump.
The Flojet’s specially designed shuttle valve, check valves and high performance capabilities have been combined to
produce a “value-priced” small, light duty pump.
Features include:
• Santoprene diaphragm
• Viton and Kalrez diaphragm upgrades available
• Lafferty quick release stainless steel mounting bracket and quick disconnect port fittings for ease of pump
replacement.
Precision Foamers also feature the Flojet ¼" Air Pump.
These systems have been designed to produce a low volume of rich foam and are ideal for jobs where precision application and tight control of over-spray are required.
Tank Foamers & Sprayers are driven solely by Compressed Air.
Compressed air is used to pressurize RTU solution or water in a pressure rated stainless steel tank.

Lafferty Venturi Freedom Foamers & Sprayers are powered by compressed air
and are designed for use in facilities where plumbed water pressure is unavailable, unreliable or lower than
the 35 psi required for conventional venturi foamers and sprayers.
A Yamada air pump, mounted inside a lockable stainless steel enclosure, is used to draw water from a tank
and provide the water pressure required to drive the venturi foamer or sprayer.
