Business News January 2010 Creating Future a Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce Sustainable The Chamber of Commerce, with the support of several other island sponsors, hosted an all-day conference at IslandWood on Dec. 7, 2009, where approximately 60 Bainbridge business leaders heard from a host of national leaders and local panelists working on creating more sustainable economies. Presenters included experts in sustainability, such as Kevin Wilhelm, author of Return on Sustainability, and a panel highlighting local success stories of eco-friendly businesses and organizations. Panelists, (pictured above) included reps from Watson Furniture (formerly of Bainbridge), Town & Country Markets, Bainbridge Graduate Institute and IslandWood. At day’s end, Chamber V-P Jeff Waite introduced a resolution - unanimously adopted by the Chamber’s Board of Directors – supporting sustainability on Bainbridge using elements of the Natural Step process. “The resolution was adopted to provide us, as the board, a method of decision making that keeps us in line with real science and the principles of sustainability,” Waite said. The Natural Step, founded by leading scientists in Sweden, has become a model for communities desiring to aspire to develop an ecologically, economically and socially healthy community for the long term. For more info on the Summit and to view the Chamber Sustainability Resolution visit: www.bainbridgechamber.com. I love to help women of all shapes and sizes look their best, by guiding them with clothing that flatters. I provide a gentle, kind and honest environment to help guide you to look your best. I never impose my personal style onto my clients. Your style is within you, and I will help you discover it, while I guide you into clothing in your style which is flattering for you. My job is to free women from the daily stress, and add strength to, “What am I going to wear?” / “I don’t like the clothing that I have.”/ “I am frustrated by my shape.” / “I don’t have time to shop!” / “I feel frustrated by pushy salespeople who just want to sell me something.” When you feel confident with your appearance, you gain the confidence and self esteem which drives a positive outcome in your everyday life. You will excel in your work, you will play happier, and your family will also see the difference in you: in how you feel about yourself. From re-organizing your wardrobe closet, to educating about your best style and fit; shopping with you or for you; matching good clothing that you already own with some new items...or a new wardrobe: your invigorated confidence will help your life every day. Your self-worth and your performance at work will benefit tremendously. I started Gayle Rich Style in 1997 and have an extensive background in Retail Management and also as a Buyer. I never sell or re-sell any items of any kind. When I am working for you, I am only working for you and for your best you! Get help with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, menopause symptoms and other health issues associated with extra weight. I will support you in losing your excess weight through a comprehensive, medically-based program that is combined with one-on-one coaching. The result is long-term weight loss. My clients generally lose 2-5 pounds per week, and because the meals provide just the right ratio and quality of protein and carbohydrates, you will be losing your fat, not your muscle. I learned about this program when my 38 year old step-daughter lost 62 lbs. and a 67 year old friend lost 40 lbs. and was able to go off of her blood pressure and cholesterol medication. When I tried the program I lost 10 lbs. in 3 weeks and lowered my cholesterol almost 20 points. My program has been in existence for 30 years, has been used at Johns Hopkins Weight Management Clinic and has undergone clinical studies at the National Institutes of Health. Lose your weight with a healthy program that is extremely affordable, quick and easy for even the busiest of people. Executive Insight has two practice areas; design and finance.
