A Letter From the Chairs
To all who have joined us in celebration of My Little Pony at
BABSCon 2016, thank you. We hope your weekend will be filled
with wonder, excitement, and friendship; that you’ll leave with a
smile after meeting friends new and old, and take with you
memories that will last a lifetime.
Planning this year presented its own unique and unrelenting
challenges. Serious senior staff turnover throughout the planning
year, renovations at the Hyatt changing our layout on a monthly basis, and issues thought to be solved from our past resurfaced. In the
end, I think we met and overcame each challenge with the powers
of friendship, dedication, and a high tolerance for discomfort.
After all the planning and preparation is done, it’s time to lift the
curtain for YOU to take the stage; BABSCon is your con. What sort
of story will you live this weekend? Fun? Adventurous? Dramatic?
Welcome to BABSCon 2016.
Code of Conduct
1. Please be respectful to Attendees, Guests of Honor, Our Host Hotel, and
Convention Staff by avoiding disorderly conduct, illegal or prohibited activities, and the use of profanity.
2. Appropriate clothing, as defined in our dress code, must be worn while in
public areas.
3. Smoking of tobacco, use of e-cigarettes and other vapor producing devices are allowed only in designated areas. Public consumption of alcohol is
prohibited, along with partaking of drugs and marijuana (including medical)
anywhere on the Hyatt Regency SFO grounds.
4. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
5. While the majority of our events and panels are suitable for all ages, access
to some events and panels may be restricted due to content or other considerations. All attendees present at a limited access event or panel must
meet admittance requirements.

Art Show
With paintings, sculptures, prints, and more, BABSCon’s art show is
proud to display the wide talents of our fandom’s creative bronies
and pegasisters! The art show will be open Friday 12 PM—6 PM
and Saturday 12 PM—8 PM, with piece pick-up on Sunday from
11 AM—4 PM. Pieces will be bid on in a silent auction, with the
most popular pieces then going to a voice auction. There will also
be a charity auction of specific pieces.
Keep these simple tips in mind for the ideal viewing experience:
• Check your bags at the door.
• Absolutely NO photography/video recording of any kind.
• Follow all appropriate protocols for bidder registration and art
purchases.
• Do not under any circumstances touch any of the art on display
unless otherwise noted.
• Follow all bidder registration/purchasing procedures.
• Abide by all Art Show Staff directions.
• Come with an open, inquisitive mind.

Charity Information
BABSCon is pleased to announce our chosen charities for 2016!
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an
independent international medical humanitarian organization that
provides aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics,
malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters in
more than 60 countries. MSF received the Nobel Peace Prize in
1999.
LYRIC’s mission is to build community and inspire positive social
change through education enhancement, career trainings, health
promotion, and leadership development with lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth,
their families, and allies of all races, classes, genders, and abilities.
LYRIC’s vision is a diverse society where LGBTQQ youth are
embraced for who they are and encouraged to be who they want to
be. By working towards social justice and supporting young leaders,
their families and allies, LYRIC is building a world that honors,
respects and appreciates LGBTQQ youth and their contributions.
Charity Auction & Donations
Our charity auction will take place 5:00—6:00 PM Saturday in
Mane Hall. Please drop by the Art Show room with your item
so that we can properly log it and thank you for your generosity.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind when considering an
item for donation:
• Items should be tasteful. This is a family friendly event and all
items should be all-ages appropriate.
• Easily autographed items are a big help. Our guests are
generous in their willingness to sign items for charity and that
increases the value of an item significantly, generating
more money for our worthy recipients!

Each voucher is $10; the price for an autograph or photo varies between guests, but will be between $10 and $30 (1-3 vouchers). Signs
