Cat® Marketing Submission and Approval All catalogs, pamphlets, flyers, advertisements, promotional artwork, displays, posters and ad specialty items (essentially all product which is not apparel) bearing the Cat® or Caterpillar® name or trademark must be submitted for concept and production approval.

All marketing items must be submitted for concept approval. The item submitted will be reviewed to determine if it is in keeping with the brand vision. If the marketing item is in keeping with the brand message, it will be submitted to Cat Corporate for formal concept approval.

You will be notified with official Cat Corporate comments if the concept is approved or rejected. 
Vendors and suppliers who will produce the marketing item must sign a manufacturer's agreement and it must be updated yearly. This document must be on file and approved before the actual marketing item is produced.


Please allow 5-10 days for the approval process.

Following concept approval, you must then submit the actual marketing item. It is important you send three final samples when submitting items for formal
production approval from Cat Corporate.

LOGO GUIDELINES
These guidelines explain and illustrate the use of the Cat logo as it relates to advertising. The Cat logo must be used properly.
Cat Flag Logo Application
The trademark artwork may be reproduced in two color or reverse. For two color reproduction, the yellow field must be matched to the Caterpillar Corporate Yellow. For reverse, the logo may only be displayed as a white logotype with black background.

 Do not combine the logo with any other text or graphic.

 Always make sure there is sufficient contrast between the logo and the background.

Submit marketing concepts and all related details via an electronic document (pdf, jpeg, eps, etc.)
to [email protected] . Any photographs, illustrations and/or samples which help better explain the
marketing item should also be sent with the concept. If samples are sent, at least three samples are
required.
Incorrect placement of logo
When submitting concepts for approval, you must provide additional information to ensure your
concept is fully understood and also to expedite the approval process.
Anything bearing the Cat® or Caterpillar® name or trademark or anything pertaining to
Caterpillar business must be approved prior to production.
