WELCOME TO THE UAB
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Our
university ranks among the leading educational establishments in Spain and the European Union,
standing out for the quality of our teaching and research. Our mission is to prepare professionals
with the profiles required by modern-day society and to contribute to the advances in society
through our scientific research. To achieve our objectives, we offer a wide range of programs and
courses of study. Our campus hosts a number of research centres and institutes, which together
with the departments, comprise the research consortium known as the Esfera UAB.
Our university stands out in numerous aspects. The UAB is one of the few Spanish universities to
be privileged with having its facilities located its own campus. We are highly committed to
promoting the international nature of our university, taking part in numerous international
programmes. The main asset of our University, however, is without a doubt the people who form
part of it.
We invite you to join us in our ambitious project and we are sure that you will feel very welcome
among us.
