1940s – Battle of Britain
This fun theme night takes us back to wartime Britain in the 1940’s,
it is the time of air raid sirens, ration books and the threat of enemy
forces entering our country. When you arrive at your World War
Theme Dinner your guests will arrive through a realistic sand bag
bunker entrance manned by two World War II armed guards. Making
their way through to the reception area, guests will be presented with
their reception drink by uniformed World War 2 1940's officers and
Cigarette Glamour Girls.
The theming in the main room will be achieved with World War II
backdrops including an overhead spitfire and blitzed London terraced
house. Union Jack bunting and 1940's advertising posters will cover
the walls to help create a realistic 1940's setting. There will also be
warning signs and enrolment posters to try and get your guests to join
up with the forces. Before dinner is served, Winston Churchill will
make a guest appearance on stage and recite his famous 'Battle of
Britain' speech. After the speech he will announce dinner.
A live World War II theme swing band will play to keep you
entertained throughout your meal. After Dinner, a swing dance
demonstration will take place on the dance floor with professional
dancers showing you all the moves. The shooting gallery will also be
open from the end of dinner; an opportunity for all those signing up to
practise their aim. At some stage over the course of the evening, the
air raid siren will sound – what will happen then?

How the Casino works
During coffee our croupiers will distribute the fun money, (or place on tables prior to guests
arrival). We can also provide personalised fun money. Guests will then be encouraged to
take their newly acquired fun money to the tables and exchange them for gaming chips. All
the fun of a casino and friendly competition is bound to ensue! Approximately 15 minutes
before the end of the evening our Event Manager announces, “last 3 spins” the betting then
becomes frantic as players try to amass as many chips as they can. The casino then closes
and the croupiers count up to find the winner. You can then award the prize to the winner.
