14-16 JANUARY 2016 FASHIONIST Our objective in 2016 is to maintain the level of success obtained within the first two years of the fair and to create a big commercial volume by enabling companies to sign new collaborations. Having organized Fashionist for two years, immediately following the fair, we started working on the preparations for the third one. Some of the the work we will be doing during the next fair is included in this dossier. In its third year as well, Fashionist will be among the works closely followed by fashion professionals as it promotes Istanbul on its path to becoming a world brand with its manufacturing capacity and product quality. We aim Fashionist 2016 to be the first venue where evening gowns, wedding dresses and suits are seen so mark your calendars already. We hope to see you in Istanbul between January 14-16, 2016... PATIKA FAIRS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The second Fashionist Evening Gowns, Wedding Dresses and Suits Fair was held at Istanbul Congress Center and Istanbul Lutfi Kirdar halls between November 21-23, 2014 and hosted industry professionals from 72 countries. The fair signaled that the success obtained during the initial year, will be increasing growingly. This achievement was made possible by the Patika Fair Organization team, who worked intensively shaping their efforts in the light of the evaluation made with the exhibitor companies and OTIAD fair committee, immediately following the first fair. We extend our thanks to the OTIAD fair committee president and members, who have worked as hard as the Patika team; to IHKIB, ITHIB, and ITO, which are among the most important associations of the industry; and to our participants, who have believed in this grand organization held in Istanbul and who have been with us from day one. Following the two successful years we have had, on January 14-16, 2016, we look forward to seeing all companies that would like to participate in the third Fashionist Evening Gowns, Wedding Dresses and Suits Fair and who would like to establish new commercial relations in Istanbul, the gate on the world for the Middle East, Russia, and Central Asia. 02-03 FASHIONIST IN NUMBERS Fashionist welcomed its visitors on a 17,000-m2 area on its first year and was held with the participation of 115 companies on a 25,000-m2 area on its second year. Fashionist keeps growing as it proceeds and utilizing the halls of Istanbul Congress Center, it will host another successful fair in 2016 in order to introduce Istanbul as the “New Capital of Fashion”. At Fashionist 2014; • The Istanbul Congress Center and Lutfi Kirdar halls where the fair was organized had a total area of 25.000 m2. • The number of exhibitor companies was 115. • 10 designers participated at the Designer Lounge. • The number of international participants was 16. • The fair was visited by 19,700 people within a time period of three days. • 61% of the visitors were international. • 392 people were accommodated in three hotels by Patika Fair Organization. • 15 publisher groups were involved. • 3 designer fashion shows and 4 company fashion shows were organized. • A total of 1600 people watched the Gala fashion show realized with Ezra + Tuba and the Gamze Saraçoğlu Gala fashion show on the second day. • A 40-meter U-shaped catwalk was built at Lutfi Kirdar. • 300 people worked in the production of the fashion shows. • The fashion shows were watched by nearly 5000 people. Additionally, advertorials were ran in numerous magazines. Significant buyers were accommodated in 5-star hotels in Istanbul. Throughout the field work conducted in Tunisia, 150 boutiques were contacted one-on-one and significant buyers were Within the scope of the field work, hosted in Istanbul. 50 boutiques were contacted during the field work conducted in Baku, Azerbaijan. During the field work conducted in Dubai, Ajman, and Al Sharjah, 100 boutiques were contacted. Throughout 2016, field work will continue in the targeted regions that are determined. Invitation 80,000 fair invitations were printed in Turkish, English, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, and Persian languages and they were distributed at national and international fairs throughout the year. In addition inserts were entered in national and international publications. For the 2016 fair, 100,000 invitations will be printed and delivered to industry professionals. 06-07 IstMagazine ISTANBUL FASHION CULTURE ART MAGAZINE “IstMagazine” supports the fair in both national and international arenas. 7000 copies were distributed to national and international industry professionals. 4000 magazines were distributed at international fairs and the rest was mailed to the fair database. The third issue of the magazine will be available to readers in March 2015... Social Media Fashionist’s Facebook page has reached over 100,000 followers as a result of the campaign www.facebook.com/fashionistfair conducted. You can also follow the Instagram and Twitter accounts to stay up to date about http://instagram.com/fashionistfair the fair. https://twitter.com/fashionistfair E-bulletin Mailing 10,000 addresses are being contacted via e-mail in the countries’ native languages on a regular basis. Window Ads Ad boards were produced to be placed at the windows of all fair participants. For the 2016 fair, the campaign will be repeated with renewed ad visuals. Buyer Program As in the previous years, 400 important and big buyers will be accommodated in 5-star hotels during Fashionist 2016 as well. Besides the most important buyers among exhibitor companies and foreign trade companies, as a result of the field work conducted in the targeted regions, new buyers will join the visitors we accommodate. Newspaper Ads Ads will be published in national high-circulation publications and in the newspapers of targeted international regions. NEWSPAPER AD PR Work PR work will continue with two different PR companies for national magazine and TV campaigns. In the Press 22 news spots for a total of 2 hrs 18 min 13 sec on 11 different national and international TV channels. Fashionist appeared in 72 different news reports on 42 print publications. The Fashionist Fair was on online media with 121 different news reports. During the fair, Fashionist appeared on Immediately following Fashionist 2014, ads were kicked off in national and international industry publications. The fashion show area for the shows at Lutfi Kirdar Convention and Exhibition Center’s Rumeli Hall, was built by expert organizations and greatly admired. Ezra Tuba, Banu Güven, and Gamze Saraçoğlu presented their couture collections, which they specially designed for Fashionist, to the community and to the prominent names from the fashion world at the Gala show and on the second day respectively. On the following days, our exhibitor companies Odrella, Alchera, Priamos, and Fouad Sarkis exhibited their new collections.
