Bill Hermetz is a true veteran of the reman industry. In fact,
right out of high school, he found work rebuilding grader tires
for mining companies. Then, in 1994, he began his true career
as a teardown starter. Today, he realized his dreams of owning
his own business as a partner/lead tech/rebuilder/jack of all
trades at ULT Powertrain since 2011. A reputed master at his
craft, he is known for rebuilding transfer cases for the “Hippo
Tour Bus”, the bus that would navigate the waters of Ontario
Place.
And guess what? He’s a huge car guy too, owning a ‘72 Cuda
and a ‘76 Gran Torino “Starsky & Hutch” replica. Of course, like
any self-respecting car-guy, he’s always done his own fixing on
cars and bikes.
Can’t help but mention as the playoffs are on that Bill is also a
Toronto fan and his excuse is that he lives/works in the GTA.
Guess he’s got a lot of free time on his hands these days to take
those golf trips with his family, which by now must have
become a long-standing tradition for them during playoffs.
Maybe he’ll run into some of the Leafs on the links! Just
“joking” Bill...

Don’t loose your Drive Here are 5 easy tips to ensure
proper maintenance of your driveshafts:
Inspect driveshaft tubing for any irregularities such as:
Corrosion, dents, scratches & grooving
Inspect U-joints for slack. Ensure to grab both driveshaft &
yoke; otherwise, it may be confused for backlash in ring &
pinion or transmission
Grease U-joints until ALL caps have been purged
Ensure slip & spline dust cap is plugged before purging
Use an EP2 grade lithium complex grease. Malmberg
recommends Chevron’s Starplex EP2 grease
Remember, if you have driveshaft or driveline concerns,
contact your trusted advisors Dan or Terry at Malmberg
Powertrain. It may be something simple you overlooked.

bay, but it was drive-through!
