A note from your friendly Rec. Director….
I am sad to say that as of the end of April I will no longer be your Rec. Director.
My husband has found an excellent professional opportunity in Faro. This was
a difficult decision to make, but we had to make it. Thanks to all of you, this
was by far the best professional experience of my life. I have never felt so welcomed and supported as I did here. A very special Thank you to the TCA board members,
you are an excellent bunch of people, you care so much about your Community and it really
shows… That’s why all the other Communities are so envious. I will miss you all………….It’s
not like I’m moving to another Country, I’ll definitely be surprising you from time to time.
Maybe I’ll even volunteer for a pancake breakfast.

The Tagish Community Centre is missing some cement blocks that had been put aside from our sidewalk project last
fall. These blocks are the property of the Tagish Community Association and we would like them back.
If you are aware of their whereabouts please contact the Community Centre 399-3407
Home Team Advantage
Congratulations to the team of Renie Smith, Lois Taylor, Ursula Angerer and Claude Dastous
who won the First Annual( we hope) Tagish Carpet Bowling Tournament. They defeated Teslin in a sudden death extra end. Six teams from Whitehorse, Teslin, Atlin and Tagish participated in a very enjoyable day of friendly competition. Our thanks to every one who provided
a delicious potluck meal and to Maureen Dastous who organized the kitchen preparations.
A BIG THANK YOU TO URSULA ANGERER!
Ursula is responsible for a lot of
programming we have throughout
the year. The Tagish Community
Centre would not be as varied
and active if it wasn’t for her. As of May 14th
Ursula is taking a break. We hope to see her
back in the Fall. Thank you Ursula for all your
hard work.
