“Every year millions of birds set off once more
on an adventurous trip to their breeding
grounds in the northern hemisphere: an unforgettable spectacle in the world of nature.
Bird-watchers all over the globe are thrilled
when they catch sight of the first Swallow, White
Stork or Great Reed Warblers of the season.
Spotting birds in woodlands is a major challenge for any binoculars.
But this isn‘t a problem with the wide field of view of the Discovery.
These binoculars reproduce true colours as well as brilliant, razorsharp images, even in twilight or in murky undergrowth. I can even
see the difference in colour between the Common Wood Warbler
and the European Willow Warbler, as well as the delicate shades of
a flock of long-tailed Tits vanishing into the undergrowth.
In spring it is exciting to wait on the beach until you see ducks off the
coastline sweep over the waves to the north. The smaller birds, which
initially only appear as tiny dots in the sky, immediately seek firm
ground to rest there and gather their strength for the remaining
journey.
A unique feature is the ergonomic eyecup system: these are folded
over to simply eliminate diffused light from the side. I can always
rely on my STEINER binoculars, even in extreme differences in temperature or very severe weather conditions. They are fog and water
pressure proof up to 5 metres, making them ideal for use outdoors.
When you realise the distances that these birds cover, battling against
stormy weather and dry seasons, you can only admire the resilience of these creatures. Nowadays we are able to closely observe

Andes or the driest deserts of our planet. My
